· Prepare, present, and communicate the financial performance of the organization to management in order to support business development.
Ø To ensure that all revenue is deposited into the hotel’s account at the designated bank(s) promptly.
Ø Prepare and submit plans, operations budgets, Capital budgets, progress and periodic (monthly/annual) reports.
Ø To establish and manage floats within restrictive limits for all cashiers in the hotel.
Ø On periodic basis check summary of obligatory licenses and permits which are granted to the hotel by local and federal authorities.
Ø To ensure that all Statutory payments (Company Income Tax, PAYE, WHT and Pension) are paid as at when due.
Ø Develop and participate with Executive Team in the development of the strategic marketing plan for the hotel.
Ø Coordinate and liaise with other department of the hotel in all matters relating to Finance.
Ø To ensure internal controls are working effectively to forestall fraud and malpractices in the hotel.
Ø To submit monthly report to the Finance Director of the Group.
Ø Liaise with external auditors for a successful annual audit exercise.
Ø Actively participate in committees meeting of the hotel (Cost Control, Credit Control, Buying Committee).
Ø Coordinate the finance team for efficiency and effectiveness of the department operations.
