Summary

I have always loved teaching and training as an art. This has led me to invest a lot of interest in developing the required competencies in teaching, training, and in the art of leadership. I have a unique combination of skill that would be of great assets wherever I work, and especially in seminaries and institute. I have always cherished the unique opportunity to teach in SAI and contribute to the development of youth and young adults of the church.

  • Work in partnership with an area director, area authority seventy (as invited), central office personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and oversee the region annual operating budget, financial performance, and safeguarding of church assets.
  • Understand the purpose, responsibilities, and qualifications of the positions within your assigned region.
  • Direct coordinators and program administrators in their responsibilities to:
  • Increase the number of youth and young adults participating in seminary and institute programs.
  • Develop and effectively train seminary and institute teachers to improve the learning experience and assess the student experience for all youth and young adults (including student with disabilities) enrolled in area region programs.
  • Build a more capable Christlike workforce.
  • Regularly review enrollment reports to identify trends. Meet with the area director and program administrators to set goals and make plans to improve enrollment, attendance, completion, and transition.
  • Supervise and oversee job performance, professional development, and training of the program administrators and administrative assistants assigned to the region. This may include a mixed workforce of full-time and part-time employees as well as volunteers.
  • Regularly observe, assess, and provide feedback on performance and development of assigned program administrators and others in your region that need your expertise and mentoring.
  • Plan and conduct quarterly professional development discussions, hold monthly check-ins, and regular conversations with those you lead to maintain consistent growth in teaching, learning, and leadership.
  • Provide regular in-service training for your program administrators focused on improving their job performance, career development, and fulfilling the S&I Objective.
  • Regularly review and update a professional development plan, work towards accomplishing those goals, and render an account to your area director.
  • Establish and maintain a Christlike culture of unity, improvement, and accountability and escalate issues as needed to appropriate partners.
  • Participate in regular training opportunities to improve your own job performance and career development. .
  • Partner with HR (Human Resources) and area director to provide suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of employees under your supervision
  • This position requires travel.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.
