TRIUMPH-ABATAN OLUWAYOMI OLUMIDE

Leadership Development Expert And Real Estate Guru
Lekki,Lagos

Summary

I embarked on self-discovery seminars to arouse the passion to make the best out of life. Every individual has the seed of greatness that needs to be awakened than die a mediocre.

My passion for humanity gave birth to social services and empowerment programme like soap making, laundry process starts up and lots more to make life worth living for the youth and eradicate violence and theft in the society. Borehole water was constructed to meet the need of the community and members. A car wash built to get the youth empowered. Good Samaritan day was initiated to distribute raw food stuffs, clothing, shoes and many more to the needy in the church and the community. I have people that I sponsor personally to school.
I often organise movie crusade in strategic places to rescue lives, impact moral and spiritual virtues by projecting real life situations and their consequences.
A job creation platform was established to meet the need of the unemployed which was one of the reasons for the swift approval of the academic arm of the ministry. I always put forward suggestions and creative ideas that will move the organization forward to leadership.

COMPETENCIES
I have been involved with people all my life, from the time I received God's call into full time ministry of the gospel at age 19. I have been privileged to serve in various leadership capacities as a student and in various organisations. I was once a follower who became a leader and yet a follower. I am very passionate about my work first as a Pastor, then an administrator and manager of lives, time and resources.
Learning by observation has really helped me gain speed to the top with little or no supervision. I make myself available often to volunteer jobs because it expands my scope of knowledge. I am always there to fill a gap -giving meaning, expression and fulfilment to life.
I ensured gaining the trust of management by being loyal to the operational manuals, tenets of faith and the policies. Modus Operandi is of relative importance in any organisation which facilitates delivery of desired result. The determination to stay by the rules and not deviate even when no one is watching is paramount to upholding a good conscience and integrity.
Time management is key in every field of endeavour. It helps measure your successes and achievements within a set duration. Ability to deliver within allotted time reflects an effective manager which helps gain the support and patronage of your clients.
I love thinking outside of the box. It is not enough to be efficient and not effective. A manager that is only efficient will end up with no extraordinary result. Ability to improvise, take a step higher than expected, think ahead of your employee to proffer workable solution makes you a genius when you are not one. Productive thinking never gets you stranded.
I love to plan as a manager (risk/crisis manager) who could foresee an uneventful situation before it arrives. It makes you pro-active than being reactive to the situation. I always have many options in any assignment, should one fail, one must sure work it out.
I strive hard to add value to myself, social exposure and well informed to stay relevant in any organisation or gathering. I write resource materials on various management topics and training manuals for leadership of my organization. As a senior lecturer in the Bible School and a speaker at our yearly Youth convention, who also induct new Pastors, I ensured burning the night candles for inspirations and fresh ideas that will keep me relevant and indispensable. I am an ardent reader of management and leadership literatures.
I have learnt to flow out to others as a good team member who never assumes to be right always. I welcome opinions and respect other people’s views and contributions. I take time to understudy temperaments which has helped me to deal with my colleagues well. Ability to influence and not control or instruct is always best to get others along. I keenly observe my line of authority without breaking the chain.
I have become a better personality over the years, still learning and prone to correction. I am contented and can clearly distinct between my wants and my needs. I am very neat and orderly, so I observe the safety and health tips always. I do routine medical check-up and exercise to keep fit. I have learnt mostly through keen observations and from others’ failures and successes. Failure does not equate to the end, but just a signal that something went wrong and can be fix again into success. Consistency has been the rule of the game. I have never given up!
