Accomplishments

  • Successfully launched a new product: led the cross-functional team to launch PEAKPAY lending platform product on time (within 3 months of coming on-board) and within budget compared to what the shareholders previously budgeted. We were able to start lending immediately and there were very limited bad debts because of the verification integrations properly put in place. In the first month, we were able to acquire over 50,000 users.
  • Improved an existing product: Identified and prioritized opportunities to improve an existing lending dashboard and customer relationship dashboard, and then led the team to implement those changes. Making sure each user tickets were intentionally treated led to increased revenue, decreased customer churn and increased customer growth.
  • Built a new product feature: I was able to bring in travel loans feature to meet customer needs of proof of funds needed to travel out of the country, developed this feature, and then led the team to build and launch it. In the space of one month, it was our best selling product.
  • Led a successful product pivot: For lending, I was able to introduce a feature of recovery in bits. Let the dev team to build the recovery dashboard in a way that the customers could repay as little as 1k daily so they do not get lazy to pay back huge amounts. This led to a higher and better repayment rate and better business outcome.
  • Managed a successful product roadmap: Based on the product vision, I prioritize features based on their impact on customer satisfaction and business objectives. Created a product roadmap that outlined the prioritized features and their timelines. Made sure to include a clear timeline for each feature and set achievable milestones. Regularly reviewed and monitored progress against the roadmap. Measured the success of each feature and adjusted the roadmap as needed based on customer feedback, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Developed a successful go-to-market strategy: Using the major markets in Lagos, I conducted a market research and analyzed customer feedback to understand their requirements, pain points, and preferences.
  • Improved cross-functional collaboration: I improved collaboration and communication between products in Aladdin, engineering, sales, marketing, and other teams.
