I am an astute professional with over 14 (fourteen) years of work experience in three leading Banking Institutions and currently one of the fastest growing financial technology companies in Africa. Sales, e-Commerce, Digital Finance, Payment’s software solutions for SME businesses and strategic partnerships are the fields where I have built great expertise. I have practical skills in digital marketing, data analytics as well as the ability to identify and meet customers' expectations and needs whilst increasing revenues.
I am responsible for leading payments solutions for merchants in the SME space locally in Nigeria and the rest of Africa. I am able to effectively carry out my tasks by articulating a winning sales, growth marketing strategy and also creating and managing formidable partnerships with other fintechs, government bodies, trade associations and businesses in other to further enable the ecosystem for merchant acquisition, transactions processing and increase customer lifetime value. I also coordinate account management with the use of data to take informed decisions.
I had the task of leading a zone of five (5) business locations to ensure all the customer segments under my zone are adequately served with the Bank’s numerous digital solutions that cut across lending, new customer acquisition, payments, collections and e-commerce. The chore starts with digital products profiling, penetration of existing clients and acquisition of new clients using the Bank’s numerous virtual/digital tools, and ultimately cross sell all other products that meet the exact needs of the client/customer. I successfully led the team to achieve an overall sale of over 1 Billion within one year on this role.
I was responsible for driving business development, adoption and support of the bank's digital penetration strategy in the region in addition to providing leadership, strategic direction and focus for the digital sales team across a region of Business locations. I had the mandate to sell traditional digital products and the Bank’s new Digital Products (I-invest, Doubble, Specta) to salary earners, business owners, professionals and the mass affluent. I was able to grow POS penetration and grown the value from 400M to 1.1BN in just one year by strategically acquiring new quality merchants in the Public and Hospitality, Sector. This improved my region’s ranking from 9th to 3rd position currently.
Whilst on this role, I implemented the pioneer mobile banking platform and provided a strategic framework to manage the Bank's Virtual Banking products for customer acquisition and adoption for revenue growth. During this time, I brought to market the Bank’s first ever mobile app which recorded 40,000 sign ups within one year. Amongst numerous achievements was also the implementation of the first ever USSD solution *533#, second factor authentication on the Bank’s online Banking which reposed customers’ confidence in the security of the platform thereby growing transactions to over 1Bn which was the first in the history of the Bank. In addition, I was able to create and manage strategic partnerships which the Bank leveraged on for the growth of the business.
