1. As the Defence Attaché of Nigeria to Ghana, and having concurrent accreditation in 5 countries (Cote d'Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea Bissau and Guinea Conakry) and 3 Organisations (Mano River Basin Union, Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Committee of Chiefs of Defence Staffs, and Gulf of Guinea Commission (GGC)), i dutifully carried out all the diplomatic tasks for Nigeria.

2. Investigated all cases involving Nigeria and ECOWAS within Ghana, and the other 5 countries that I have concurrent accreditation as a diplomat.

3. Represented Nigeria in all Seminars on ECOWAS Maritime Domain (EMD), ECOWAS Integrated Maritime Strategy (EIMS) and UNCLOS especially Part V.

4. Weekly analysis of al the maritime developmental trends within Africa region, especially the GGC Region, and the concomitant effect on the maritime security and economic development of the African continent, in accordance with The Yaoundé Code of Conduct and Regional Information Sharing.

5. Constant reportage to the Nigeria DIA on the illicit activities at sea belonging to Pilot Zone E which is considered the most dangerous maritime zone in West Africa. This is sequel to ECOWAS Commission inauguration of the Multinational Maritime Coordination Centre (MMCC) for a maritime zone known as Pilot Zone E covering Nigeria, Togo, Benin and Niger Republics.

6. Managing of the foreign and local staffs of the Defence Section of the 6 embassies, as well as prudent financial accountability of the section.

    a. Nigeria Army sole representative and focal person at the Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC), the highest decision-making body for the Federal Government of Nigeria on Drug Control, from 2018 till date.

    b. Member of the National Drafting Committee for the 5-Year Nigerian National Drug Control Master Plan (NDCMP) 2021 - 2025.

    c. Deputy Chairman of the Technical Working Group (TWG) that drafted the 5 years nationwide implementation timelines for War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) in Nigeria from 01-14 Oct 21.

    d. Member of the Security Committee of the Nigeria football Federation (NFF) that organized Aisha Buhari Cup, an 8-nations female national football team’s tournament from 15 -21 Sep 21.

    e. Organizing the national male football team world cup qualifier matches, as well as matches involving the national female U-17 and U-20 teams in Oct 21.

    f. Represented the Armed Forces of Nigeria, in the 6th Series of the Nigeria/United States Bi-National Commission from 29 – 30 April 2024.

Football, Badminton, Reading, Travelling, and Making Friends

I love the above hobbies. I am a member of the Security Committees of both the Nigerian Football Federation, and Badminton Federation of Nigeria. I am also an ardent reader of books on international affairs, global political and military dynamics, space science, as well as books on life beyond the earth. I love travelling round the world. And i take every opportunity to make friends and learn more about other people's culture and environments.
