CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
· Over 5 years of dedicated MRI practice, I independently performing more than 20 MRI examinations during a typical shift across neurological, spinal, musculoskeletal, abdominal, pelvic, breast, vascular (MRA/MRV), paediatric, fetal and whole-body imaging.
· Demonstrated advanced MRI clinical judgement by performing a fetal MRI following abnormal antenatal ultrasound findings. The examination identified severe fetal abnormalities, including bilateral hydronephrosis and hydrocephalus, providing critical diagnostic information that supported multidisciplinary clinical decision-making and patient counselling.
· Maintained excellent MRI safety standards by identifying an undisclosed cardiac pacemaker during pre-scan screening, preventing a potentially unsafe examination through prompt escalation and adherence to MRI safety protocols.
· Successfully supported completion of MRI examinations in anxious and claustrophobic patients by adapting communication techniques, providing reassurance and working collaboratively with clinicians to facilitate safe imaging when sedation was required.
Available upon request.
· Performed emergency CT and trauma imaging using the GE Revolution 128-slice CT scanner, contributing to the rapid diagnosis of life-threatening conditions including intracranial haemorrhage, enabling timely neurosurgical intervention.
· Introduced a pre-imaging patient checklist that improved patient preparation, reduced examination interruptions, enhanced documentation accuracy and improved departmental workflow.
· Provide leadership as Deputy Head of the Radiology Unit, supervising radiographers, mentoring students and newly employed staff, coordinating workflow and supporting the delivery of high-quality imaging services.
