Application

11/01/2026, International Alert, Nigeria, I am writing to express my strong interest in the position of MEL Officer with Partners of the Americas. With over nine years of progressive experience designing, leading, and strengthening Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL/M&E) systems across complex, multi-sector development and humanitarian programs in Nigeria, I bring the technical depth, leadership capacity, and strategic mindset required to support high-quality evidence generation and learning at scale. In my current role as Senior MEAL Officer with ZOA International, I provide technical leadership for the design and implementation of comprehensive M&E frameworks, oversee large-scale data collection and evaluation activities, and ensure that high-quality evidence informs adaptive program management. I work closely with program leadership, technical teams, and partners to align indicators, targets, and reporting systems with donor and organizational priorities, while maintaining strong data governance and accountability standards. This experience closely aligns with the Director-level responsibility of setting M&E vision, strategy, and systems across programs. Previously, as an M&E Consultant with Management Sciences for Health (MSH) and MEAL Specialist with Secours Islamique France, I led baseline, midline, and endline evaluations; conducted data quality assessments; developed digital data systems and dashboards; and supported learning processes that translated findings into actionable program improvements. I have extensive experience producing high-quality analytical reports for senior management and donors, and facilitating reflection and learning processes to strengthen program effectiveness, key components of Partners of the Americas' commitment to results-based management and learning. Beyond technical expertise, I bring strong leadership and capacity-building experience. I have trained and mentored diverse teams and partners on M&E methodologies, digital tools, ethical data practices, and use of evidence for decision-making. My background in information systems and data management further enables me to bridge technical M&E requirements with practical, user-friendly systems that enhance program ownership and sustainability. I am particularly motivated by Partners of the Americas' mission to strengthen institutions, build partnerships, and promote locally driven development. I am confident that my experience working in fragile and complex contexts in Nigeria, combined with my commitment to collaboration, learning, and accountability, would allow me to add meaningful value to your programs and partners. Thank you for considering my application. I would welcome the opportunity to further discuss how my skills and experience can support Partners of the Americas in advancing high-impact, evidence-informed programming in Nigeria.
