I am currently the Junior Associate working with the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, where I help to strengthen and enhance the dietary quality of food consumed by marginalized communities, specifically women and children, through the ENSAND project, which focuses on promoting the consumption of nutrient-rich foods, including vegetables, eggs, and fortified rice, while directly supporting the implementation of project activities in Kebbi, Kaduna, and Kano States.
Program Management:
Support the implementation of ENSAND project, working with implementing agencies, market organizations and businesses.
Supported the implementation of the Promoting Rice Fortification in Nigeria (PRiFN) project, a collaborative initiative between the Federal Government of Nigeria, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), and the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN).
Support routine visits to the field to ensure that project implementation process is on track.
I supported ENSAND Project in rolling out the HCD toolkit for social protection among HGSFP value chain actors and administrators, raising awareness on the importance of community-centered social protection for nutrition impact in Kebbi state.
In coordination with ENSAND project team members, participate at project review meetings with government, project partners, community stakeholders and other technical groups as the need arises.
Under the direction of the Project Manager, support the implementation of project components with other project leads to ensure activities are executed within agreed timeline. Support the creation and delivery of project reports including data analysis from project implementation.

I Worked closely with STL to support implementation of all aspects of LGA and Community level activities in Jigawa state as part of the SBC intervention toolkits to promote healthy hygiene and sanitation practices amongst at risk populations in support of trachoma elimination and other NTD control programs as part of the implementation of the CCSI-Funded project in Jigawa, Sokoto, Yobe and Katsina.
Responsibilities/achievements
Coordination and supervision of WASH/NTD activities within Jigawa State in collaboration with the state lead to strengthen the LGAs and community level capacity for promoting and sustaining healthy hygiene and sanitation behaviors in support of NTD elimination and control programs, with an emphasis on face-washing and functional use of latrines in support of trachoma elimination.
Working closely with the state lead to support all aspects of community engagement.
Strengthen capacity of selected local government areas (LGA) level officer and community volunteer for intervention delivery. (Through supportive supervision and on-the-job training on NTD/WASH SBCC programming.
Facilitate monthly review meeting of LGA teams (Imams/Mallams, Latrine builders, Vendors, Teachers, LGA NTD officer and CCSI LGA supervisors)
