Responsibilities:

• Coordinate supply chain management activities for USAID/PEPFAR and Global Fund funded public health programs implemented by GHSC-PSM in Jigawa.
• Plan and oversee the implementation of the GHSC-PSM project activities in Jigawa.
• Organize, coordinate, implement, and follow up project activities, including administrative and financial aspects, providing expert advice and ensuring timely delivery.
• Managed the Logistics Management Information Systems and Last Mile Distribution of HIV, malaria and COVID-19 health products and commodities to GHSC-PSM supported health facilities in Jigawa.
• Forecasting and quantification of HIV/AIDS, malaria and COVID-19 health commodities and vaccines for USAID and Global Fund supported health programs.
• Technical assistance to the state ministry of health, Logistics Management Coordinating Units and state primary health care development agency.
• Health system strengthening and capacity building of state and LGA level personnel and stakeholders through trainings, monitoring and supportive visits.
• Ensured the seamless conduct of monitoring and evaluation activities for the GHSC-PSM project and public health program logistics programs.
• Collaborated with the commissioner of health, permanent secretary state ministry of health, executive secretary primary health care development agency, director of public health, Logistics coordinator and other stakeholders of the Jigawa state ministry of health to ensure availability and uninterrupted supply of life saving health commodities to health facilities in Jigawa state.

Achievements:

• Successfully managed the distribution and delivery of HIV and malaria health commodities worth over 4 billion Naira ($9 million) to 610 public health facilities in Jigawa from 2018 to 2023.
• Successfully trained over 600 state level, LGA level and health facility level personnel and stakeholders on health commodities and supply chain management.
• Ensured timely preparation, submission and approval of budgets, work plans, activity reports and program reports.
• Strengthened the capacity of the state ministry of health and Logistics management coordinating unit in the areas of public health commodities storage, inventory management, distribution and supply chain management.
• Ensured timely and effective administration of governance, advocacy and stakeholder engagement activities for the GHSC-PSM project in Jigawa.
• Developed and implemented standard operating procedures and action plans for the retrieval, collation and aggregation of Logistics data from the health facility level to the state level and for data entry and management on the Nigeria Health Logistics Management Information System (NHLMIS).
• Successfully organized routine stakeholder engagement meetings, technical working group meetings, and HIV and malaria program focal persons' meetings.
• Provided logistics, supply chain management and monitoring support for the successful conduct of the 2021 Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLIN) campaign in Jigawa where 3.8 million LLINs were distributed to households across Jigawa state.
• Successfully collaborated with other public health program implementing partners and organizations (FHI360, MSH, Malaria consortium, Palladium, GGHN, IHVN, WHO, UNICEF, SIDHAS, SHARP TO3, ACE-2, Lafiya etc.) to ensure smooth implementation of public health programs in Jigawa.
• Ensured the effective and efficient management of funds and resources for the seamless implementation of program activities for the GHSC-PSM project in Jigawa.

Responsibilities and Achievements:

• Supported the conduct of pre-implementation activities for the Integrated Humanitarian Assistance in Northeastern Nigeria (IHANN) project in three Local Government Areas in Borno state.
• Supported the activation of two health facilities in Dikwa LGA of Borno state.
• Successfully set up and activated the pharmacy department at two health facilities managed by the IHANN project in Dikwa, Borno state.
• Conducted quantification, forecasting, procurement, supply planning and distribution of medicines, medical supplies and health products for the IHANN health project.
• Managed the inventory, logistics and supply chain of supplies for the WASH activities implemented by the IHANN project.
• Conducted needs assessment and participated in the development of a concept note for the "HIV in humanitarian context" project funded by Global Fund in Borno state.
• Successfully supported set up, organization, implementation and monitoring of daily health outreach activities in three IDP camps in Dikwa where over 300 beneficiaries were rendered primary health care services daily.
• Coordinated the delivery of quality pharmaceutical care, treatment and counseling services at two IHANN supported health facilities.
• Ensured uninterrupted supply of essential medicines, medical supplies and consumables at IHANN supported facilities.
• Ensured the proper storage and inventory management of health products, medicines and consumables according to WHO standard practices.
• Ensured the uninterrupted supply of medicines and supplies for the successful operation of the cholera treatment center in Dikwa (Borno state) during the 2017 cholera outbreak and received an award of outstanding performance from USAID.
• Successfully recruited, trained and managed 30 Community Health Workers (CHWs) rendering various forms of health services and community mobilisation activities for the IHANN program.
