Assist Mercans in the payroll processing, statutory payments & filings, taxes, employment contracts, labor laws and
related legislation of Nigeria.
Other roles include:
1. Human Resources Guidance:
o Provide HR support to our client, advise the client on benefits, payroll administration,
assistance with employment law compliance, help client to do the local employment contracts
and other related tasks.
2. Managing Payroll Lifecycle:
o Handling of the complete life cycle of filings and payments (employer and employee part) of
all statutory payments e.g., Income Tax, Social Security, and other applicable statutory
benefits.
o Tasks related to complete above include but are not limited to the following (when and where
needed):
▪ Visiting client's offices to collect and deliver forms.
▪ Filing of the statutory forms
▪ Making statutory payments to the related authorities
▪ Registration and de-registration of the employees with governmental
authorities, year-end declarations etc.
3. Providing Guidance and Updates:
o Providing guidance and continuous updates related to payroll calculation (Tax, Social Security
and other Statutory Benefits) as per the changes in labor law.
4. Other:
o Meeting with Mercans’ clients (if required).
o Interact with the Government Authorities on behalf of Mercans (if required)
