
Augustina Otu Alu is an experienced RMNCAH+N expert, public health specialist, and health policy leader with over 30 years of professional experience in nursing, primary health care management, and public health programming, including more than 17 years of specialized experience in reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, nutrition (RMNCAH+N), immunization, and health systems strengthening. She is a retired Director of Public Health from the Ebonyi State Primary Health Care Development Agency (EBSPHCDA) and previously served as the State Coordinator for the State Emergency Maternal and Child Health Intervention Center (SEMCHIC), where she provided strategic leadership for maternal and child health interventions across 296 health facilities in the 13 LGAs of Ebonyi State. Mrs. Otu has also served as a technical consultant to the Women, Children’s Health and Community Development (WOCHAD) Initiative, supporting the implementation of three USAID-supported health projects, where her technical expertise and program leadership contributed to projects exceeding their targets. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Science, a Master’s Degree in Public Health, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Health Policy, with extensive expertise in RMNCAH+N programming, immunization, nutrition integration, community health systems strengthening, and public health program management.
