1. Perform autopsies under Consultants’ supervision

2. Take part in grossing and reports surgical pathology cases under Consultant supervision.

3. Report cytology cases under supervision of a Consultant.

4. Report other specialized tests/requests including frozen sections, immunohistochemistry and molecular tests under supervision of a consultant.

5. Participate in quality assurance in the histopathology laboratory.

6. Works in tandem with the consultants in the investigation and management of forensic pathology cases including interaction with the police, eye-witnesses and relatives.

7. Runs daily cytology clinic under supervision of the consultant.

8. Take calls at the Pathology department

9. Generate research ideas from the routine clinical and laboratory activities.

1. Work under the supervision of SMO/PMO/CMO/Consultant.

2. Carry out clinic consultations which entails history taking, clinical examination, request for appropriate investigation (laboratory, radiological etc) and ensure appropriate referral to different specialties in the Hospital when necessary.

3. Ensure rational prescription and administration of medications and other treatment modalities such as health education, longitudinal care for chronic medical conditions.

4. Function as the first contact doctor during call hours (first-on-call) with appropriate documentation of patients seen.

5. Present management of patients reviewed during call hours at the morning review meeting.
