This organization is active in energy (Electrical power) generation, it has 2 power plants kainji and Jebba. This plant has a capacity of 760MW. I am reporting to Electrical Maintenance Supervisor. Here are my responsibilities;

• Plan, Coordinate and supervise daily maintenance and inspection activities on HV 16/330KV, 145MVA transformers, 120MVA Generators, and different ratings of circuit breakers ranging from 16KV downward.
• Conduct pre start up equipment walk to validate installations
• Understand system control issues and develop control solutions to enhance operations
• Troubleshoot problems with current PLC logics, wirings and control system
• Troubleshoot problems in a DCS and SCADA control network from field devices to application layer
• Performing fault calculations, protection studies and carrying out protection schemes
• Prepare job scope and work permits for the specific services to be executed by contractors and vendors on certain equipment and systems in coordination with maintenance planning and operational priorities
• Providing support to the Project Management team as a technical expert during the costing phase and developing contractual documents for contract awarding
• Conduct root cause analysis to find out the cause of failure, corrective measures and to avoid future occurrence
• Plans layout and oversees maintenance of electrical power generation system to minimize interruption to service and danger to lives and equipment
• Program and direct computer analyses of system operating characteristics, such as power flow under normal and short-circuit conditions, system stability, and voltage and load limitations
• Provide technical expertise to Operations personnel on matters of system protection and operations, during temporary and emergency conditions
• Setting and testing IED relays for Generators, Power transformers and feeders
• Perform fault and relay coordination studies in CAPE (Computer-Aided Protection Engineering) software
• Prepare specification for purchase of electrical equipment and materials
• Compliance with the QHSE policies and procedures of ISO 9001, 140001 and 45001
• Work with health, safety and environment policies in Hazard identification and mitigation to ensure safe and conducive
• Assist the head of Electrical in budget planning, implementation and tracking
• Assignment of jobs to the team members and ensure execution of tasks to completion and retiring work orders on the computerize maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Record and report departmental jobs completion and status to operations and planning department for management decision

· Project Team Lead in the decommissioning, installation and commissioning of 16/330KV, 145MVA Transformer at kainji Power Plant.[2022]

· Participated in the Factory Acceptance Test on Jebba 103MVA Generator Excitation System In Turgi, Switzerland.[2022]

This organization is active in energy (Electrical power) generation.The plant has a capacity of 578.4MW. I am reporting to Electrical Maintenance Supervisor. I was responsible for following;

• Conduct review of design drawings and manual of electrical system and equipment for possible modification
• Carrying out Routine Preventive Maintenance on 103MVA Generators, 119MVA transformers with their auxiliary Breakers and motors (MCC Panel)
• Troubleshooting on the control circuits of the 103MVA Generators and its Auxiliaries
• Operate computer –assisted design or engineering software to perform task on digital machines (turbine governor, excitation system etc)
• Conduct field installations, tests and calibrations of sensors, relays, CTs, VTs, and other systems instruments
• Conduct various tests on power transformers
• Evaluate electrical system, products, and components to ascertain their efficiency
• Participate in the preparation of departmental budget as part of the following year planning
• Ensure effective execution of maintenance activities in line with the plans and approved budgets in accord with defined HSE and quality standards
• Participate in annual stock taking to ascertain the availability of spare parts and recommend for purchase to meet up with maintenance plans

· Rehabilitation of control and protection circuitry of 33/11KV transformer for Jebba Power plant quarters.[2017]

· Team Member for the decommissioning and commissioning of 4MVA station service transformer for Jebba power plant station service.[2018]

· Succeeded in the Supervision of the installation of 330KV Circuit Breaker at Jebba Hydro Power Station by Hydro China.

· Representative of MESL in the commissioning of KAM industries ( bilateral customer) metering equipment at Ganmo Transmission Station, Ilorin.[2018]

· Team Member in the load appraisal conducted on KAM industries and KAM Wire to ensure there eligibility for bilateral energy business with Mainstream Energy Solutions Limited.[ 2018]

· Project Team Member for the installation and commissioning of ABB 11KV circuit breakers at Jebba Power plant for the purpose of back feed.[2019]

· Project Team Member in the decommissioning, installation, and commissioning of Automatic voltage regulator for a 103MVA Generator with Marubeni /Hitachi at Jebba hydro power plant.[2016]

· Project Team member in the decommissioning, installation, and commissioning of Digital Governor with Andritz at Jebba Hydro power plant.[2017]

· Generated CMMS Code for the plant equipment for effective maintenance.[2020]

This organization was active in producing vegetable oil. I was reporting to head of Electrical and Instrumentation.

• Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and controls systems
• Supervised and monitored all electrical operations in the refinery and tank farm

This company is thermal power plant, and is active in power generation. I reported to Principal Manager. My responsibilities were;

• Monitoring and controlling the thermal power generation system equipment (Generating units power transformers ,Circuit breakers and there control systems etc)
• Assisted with coordination of new equipment installation and implementation.
• Worked closely with engineers and assisted with testing of systems products.
• Adhered to safety procedures and good housekeeping standards to comply with regulations.

Main Achievement

Team member for the annual maintenance of GT13 generator.

This company is active in transmission of electrical energy from power plants to consumers. I reported to Principal Manager. My responsibilities were;

• Monitored and controlled power system equipment (power transformers, reactors etc)
• Observed any abnormality or alarm from the system equipment and direct restoration operations
• Involve in the annual maintenance of 330KV circuit breakers
• Inspection of transmission lines and towers
• Assembled, installed, tested and maintained electrical wiring, equipment and appliances.
• Collaborated with senior engineers on projects and offered insight.
• Studied transmission processes to improve overall knowledge.

Main acheivements

• Installation of 45MVA transformer at the switchyard.

• Monitored and controlled communication and surveillance equipment
• Troubleshoot and clear fault on multiplexers, modems, transceivers, and navigational aid equipment.
