Over 25 years’ experience in Oil and Gas Drilling and Production Operations (Well Engineering, HSSE and AI-PSM risk management, Production Operation, including operation in high H2S environment; Production Programming, Hydrocarbon Accounting and Deepwater Reservoir Waterflood Operations) across several Oil and Gas production and export Facilities and Installations in Land, Swamp and Deep offshore locations of SNEPCo and SPDC, Nigeria and Middle East, Production Development, Oman (PDO). Developed Business and Technical leadership skills through training, incident investigations, auditing and in-role development efforts in leading several multi-national /cultural teams including leading (Harweel / Marmul assets, 2300 staff) PDO to harness and deliver safe and cost-effective hydrocarbons. Marmul asset was best performing asset in PDO on HSSE and production from 2010 to 2012. I have managed major emergencies on Fire and gas explosion events, actual search and rescue operations in flowing wadis in Marmul, PDO and have been involved in major accident investigations with the use of Tripod Beta analyses.

  • Effectively manages offshore assets to optimise product flow within the Integrated Production System' (IPS) operating envelope to meet sales commitments.
  • Maximises the net present value of future Assets by adding operations experience into Field Development Plans in order to achieve integrated Production System reliability and cost effectiveness.
  • Leads a governance role by ensuring that wells and deferment related production operations standards and specifications are adhered to.
  • Ensures that relevant installed systems like WRFM Toolkits, EBS, EC, PI, PU and Fieldware are used efficiently.
  • Ensures that causes of unscheduled deferment are analysed and acted on, monitoring wells and facilities, and initiating corrective actions to minimise downtime or periods of low production.
  • Carries out real time to short-term scheduling and optimisation of production and water injection rates with due regard to Well, Reservoir, Facility Management, Asset Integrity and HSSE issues.
  • Creating the short-term (ST) production plan and offtake schedule with a view to meeting short-term sales commitments aligned with achieved medium-term (MT) forecast.
  • Ensures that data of set quality is recorded in the appropriate systems so as to be made available to functions that need it.
  • Ensures the right collaboration within and between the WRFM teams; coordinating and leading the right people to work together using the right tools and workflows for real-time optimisation during Daily Production Reviews (CWE, etc).
  • Interfaces with Maintenance, Operations, Marine, Pipeline, Subsurface / WRFM, Well Engineering, (including Well Services), Subsea Operations and Integrity, Subsea Construction/FSV, Deep Water Projects, Asset Engineering, Process and Flow Assurance, Corporate Affairs and Contracting.
  • Nominated by GM Offshore Assets to champion No-Trip-Campaign and ORIP effectiveness and IPSC governance in Bonga and EA assets.

Plant Unit Manager /Superintendent

  • Manages resources and co-ordinates the operations and maintenance activities of Marmul area, PDO's most critical asset.
  • Marmul comprises six flow stations, three Water Treatment Plants, one gas injection facility, 1 Polymer Injection Plant and a myriad of gas and water injection/deep water disposal wells, and eleven by-passed flow stations.
  • It is a 3-train and 3-phase separation process that produces 113,000 bpd of crude oil and 650 MMscfd of gas.
  • With a staff strength above 2,500 (both PDO and contractor staff), Marmul has 780 wells.
  • Producing reservoirs are amongst world’s highest pressures, temperatures and hydrogen sulphide enrichment.
  • The area deploys state-of- the- art technology and professional skills to ensure that health, safety and environment as well as asset integrity and process safety are not compromised in its operations.
  • Best performing asset in TRMIE and manages: Birba facilities with highest hydrogen sulphide concentration (100,000ppm).
