Summary

Proven project management and research experience and skills developed over 13 years across all the administrative states in Somalia and Somaliland with excellent understanding of management of human and financial resources of different projects/programs including remote management and coordination of multidisciplined teams in different geographical areas in remote and hard to reach settings. I have led wide range projects and have an excellent track record of managing resources, finance, security, logistics, staff and partners in different locations including supportive supervision, coached and motivated them to achieve organizational mission in a coherent and policy-oriented manner. Enabled local staffs, local partners, regional & local authorities, and other partners to develop capacity to make meaningful impact on the lives of target beneficiaries in the context of Somalia and Somaliland. I represented different international NGOs to donors, communities, and government institutions where I created excellent mutual relationships. I have designed, implemented, and monitored humanitarian and development projects from start-up, on the basis of active government, community participation and consensus building approach; carried out needs assessment; contributed effective concept papers/proposals; developed participatory monitoring & evaluation systems; collaborated with government institutions, community groups and partner organizations. This has required developing excellent working relationships with local authorities, civil society organizations, youth & women groups with different backgrounds in Somalia/Somaliland. Demonstrated skills and knowledge on conflict management, report writing, data collection & analysis, financial control, financial control, monitoring, advocacy, consultation, networking, resource mobilization, negotiation, coordination, communication, and interpersonal relations as well as building and maintaining cooperative public relations. Moreover, I possess hands on knowledge and professional experience in grant management guidelines of FCDO/DFID, NORAD, USAID/BHA, France, AICS, Netherland, Finland, Qatar, UAE, Comic relief, EU, ECHO, DANIDA, Switzerland, NORAD, SIDA, CIDA, UN and the World Bank with excellent skills in planning, strategic execution of development and humanitarian programmes with unique talent in governance and institutional capacity building programmes.
