As a build-up to the inaugural ECOWAS festival of Arts and Culture, here are some of the roles I play:

• Collaborating with team members to preserve meanings and emotions in translations while adequately developing work programmes together.
• Translating more than 15 written ECOFEST related documents from French to English with linguistic precision.
• Delivering timely translations, meeting project deadlines and client expectations.
• Collaborating with diverse teams to bridge language barriers, fostering inclusivity.

As a young professional, Here are some of the duties I performed;

• Administrative duties that spanned across documents preparation to processing payment memos.
• Drafted more than 100 contracts for freelancers, filed up reports, created more than 100 ticket requests as well as did necessary follow-up to the acquisition of tickets.
• Scheduled meetings with other team members, meetings like the AFC among many others.
• Utilized basic Microsoft tools required to archive documents, send out mails as well as create a translation log with little or no supervision under the Conference and Protocol Directorate of the Internal Affairs Department of the ECOWAS commission
• Translated some internal documents from French to English
• Served as interpreter for some online meetings while closely monitoring experienced professionals.

• Taught the French Language to people of varying ages online through zoom, google meet and other tools of communication
• Developed lesson plans to accommodate learning for all class of students
• Followed-up their progress through continuous assessment and exams when necessary.

• Taught children aged 4 -10 years respectively using French Language as the language of instruction
• Taught subjects in French
• Organized debates and developed curriculums that encouraged the children to express themselves in French
• Hosted shows that were culturally centred in sustaining knowledge of Francophone countries
• Partook in sports and extracurricular activities centred on learning French not just as a language, but also as a means of communication and learning different subjects.

• Hear and resolve complaints from customers and the public
• Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen and forward calls, providing information, taking messages and scheduling appointments
• Answering telephone calls and taking calls in foreign languages
• Translating documents from English to French and vice versa
• Acting as an interpreter
• Handling foreign correspondence
• Typing and compiling reports
