• Post operatively, I carry out post op reviews and clearly document. I thoroughly examine patients, op sites, drain tubes, looking out for any complication that will require immediate intervention.
• Assisting in procedures like appendectomy, herniorrhaphy, exploratory laparotomy, breast biopsy, caesarean section, myomectomy, prostatectomy, ORIF etc.
• Identify and diagnose acute abdomen and the different underlying causes, request for necessary investigations, institute initial management and inform the consultant for definitive management.
• Perform various minor surgical procedures such as suturing wounds, fracture stabilization, draining abscesses, performing minor excisions, etc
• Interpretation of basic tests such as Chest X-rays, ABG's, ECGs and laboratory tests.
• Monitoring of patients on ventilators in the ICU.
• Management of critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Carrying out the following procedures unsupervised: arterial and venous blood gases, blood culture collections, blood transfusions, urethral catheterization, bladder washout, nasogastric tube placement, performing ECG's, siting of intravenous access, siting arterial lines, incision and drainage and episiorrhaphies.

• Regular monitoring and medication adjustments of patients with chronic ailments in the clinic.

• Ultrasound guided peripheral cannulation for patients with difficult intra-venous access.
