  • Key Projects Executed


  • Increased Bottle line performance from 62% to 71% whilst reducing losses and minimizing inventory holdings using TPM methodology.
  • Reduce the number of breakdowns and minor stops at EBI line 2 infeed foreign bottle detection units by 75% from 40 counts per month to 10 counts per month by the end of 3rd quarter 2013 by creating new maintenance activity task list and checklist for the machine operatives and maintenance team focusing on MSI (Maintenance Significant Items) on the machine.
  • Analyzed the cause of low temperature on pasteurizer line 2 supper heat and pasteurization zones, which led to low pasteurization unit, discover the failure mode and create countermeasures.
  • Provided and automatic control for the newly installed conveyor system at the discharge of the line 2 packer machine using two capacity photoelectric sensors, wired to an S7 300 PLC and programmed to start and stop the discharge conveyor via a Danfoss frequency converter.
  • Designed and implemented a control circuit for newly installed electric motors in the packaging department.
  • Restored Labeller line 2 back to automatic operation using the SIMATIC PG to debug the failure on the machine's S7 300 PLC and rectify the problem.
  • Installed an automatic lubrication system for line 2 conveyors to reduce friction and attain the required COF on the conveyor system.
  • Installed and commissioned safety flap at bottle washer label extraction mat trough to eliminate sporadic breakdown as a result mat hooking due to excessive label accumulation on the extraction mat.
  • Created and activated additional screen on the Simatic OP 177B to enable the introduction of Amstel and Maltina brand using WinCC Flexible
  • Installed isolator switches on all electric motors on the bottle washer and pasteurizer machines to make the maintenance activities on the machine safer for the maintenance personnel.
  • Installed and commissioned automatic control for line 3 bottle washer caustic transfer control from caustic sedimentation tank to bottles washer with an overflow control fail safe.
  • Converted 12 30kw WWTP aerator drive gearmotor controls from a star-delta control to Danfoss VLT based soft control to reduce electricity consumption from a monthly average of 8kwh/hl to 5.5kwh/hl in 2017.
  • Designed and implemented pressure-based monitoring system for the brewery fire hydrant system to automatically start the booster pump when the pressure is below 4.5bar.
  • Improved the brewery thermal consumption from 65MJ/hl EY 2022 to 59MJ/hl at the end of 2023 by implementing production-based scenario setting per production areas while eliminating heat loses in steam plant and improved condensate recovery.
