Performer/Teacher
Professional Band Player
I'm an Outstanding Nigerian Musician with an unquenchable thirst and inimaginable enthusiasm to Pursue a long life musical career as a Performer and a Teacher. I have remarkably worked hard to get both Academic and Practical knowledge on my chosen field of study, and I have no doubt that this will Propel me into achieving more. In Pursuit of a sound musical career, I Applied for and was awarded a two year Scorlaship to study Music at the Muson school of Music as a Trumpet major under RTD. Major Ernesi Salawu. At the Muson school of Music, discipline and hardwork are a must have to be a Great Musician. Over my two years of Diploma study I took Theory of Music and passed successfully in the Associated Board of the Royal school of Music London, ABRSM theory of Music examination and also passed the Trumpet examination of the same board.
I graduated successfully in 2018 with a Diploma in Music.
Music cannot be studied in isolation, in view of this, I have taken every opportunity I come across to gain more experience. I’ve held the position of the Principal Trumpet in various International Orchestras: Stellenbosch Symphony Orchestra, Divine Symphony orchestra, Muson Symphony Orchestra, Accra Symphony Orchestra Ghana, Namibian National Symphony Orchestra, Vesta Chamber Orchestra. I have served actively as the brass instrumental instructor of this groups for more than 7years and I have made several local and international trips with the above mentioned Orchestras as the Principal Trumpet player.
2016 After series of auditioning, I made it as the only selected Nigerian Trumpet Player to be part of the SICMF. Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival, South Africa.
I performed as the Principal Trumpet player in this International festival in 2016, 2017, 2019 and this gave me the Opportunity to perform with some of the World's finest Performers including Bill Ray Hunter (principal of the Metropolitan Opera and the Trumpet Professor at the Manhattan
School of Music, New York) also Weston Sprout the Principal Trombone of the MET Opera. Jeff Nelson, of the Canadian Brass, Ferdinand Steiner, Daniel Rowland to mention a few, and this has been one of the greatest influences in my music career.
2016, I was part of the few Nigerians that was selected and was part of The Biggest World Choir Game in Sochi, Russia.
With over 10years of Music experience, I’ve been able to Influence Music in my Community, Africa and beyond.
I’ve won several Awards: Graduated as the Best Trumpet player at the Muson School of music 2018, also got an award for Top Brass Quintet Player in Namibia 2020.
I’m currently a brand Ambassador to the Lotus Trumpet. Influencing Lotus Trumpet and Mouthpiece in Africa!!
Granting me an opportunity to be part of this Great Community, I strongly believe that I would be able to live indeliable footprint to the soil of Music in my time.
