I am in charge of program implementation, ensuring that programs progress in accordance with PUI charter and complying with internal technical guidelines and contractual procedures. I am responsible for the follow up of programs achievement at mission level and in charge of challenging field bases on quality need for improvement. I lead the needs and gaps analysis, and suggest new operations according to the needs identified in direct coordination with the Field and Technical Coordinators. I also lead the donor mapping to develop the fundraising strategy. I manage directly the Technical Coordination Team, and ensure that the Field Coordinators and Deputy Field Coordinators are properly supported by them. By delegation from the Head of Mission, I ensure and coordinate PUI’s representation at national level among partners, donors and authorities.
I was responsible for guiding the overall MEAL strategy and implementation or related activities within projects while providing timely and relevant information to stakeholders. I supported PUI’s operational and technical staff in ensuring the accountability of PUI’s program in Nigeria by developing the appropriate MEAL strategies and protocols for each project and specific technical sector. I also provided technical MEAL guidance and leadership at all level of the Country Program, by leading efforts to document progress, effectiveness and impact of PUI´s intervention in the country. In addition to the above, I ensured the use of technically appropriate needs assessment, monitoring and evaluation methods, contributing therefore to improve the quality and effectiveness of PUI humanitarian action.
I was responsible for collecting and interpreting data, as well as analyzing the results of the program using statistical techniques. I was identifying and interpreting trends, needs and patterns of evolution and operation of the program indicators and other data collected by the program in the field. I had to formalize and transcribe my analysis through reports and restitution sessions. That was to inform the program and mission strategy. I was managing program databases from all the grants.
I was responsible for coordinating program quality in the country program within the design and implementation of projects advancing Trocaire work serving the poor and vulnerable. I helped manage project operations, administration, finances, and logistics, and liaises directly with HQ Program staff. I assisted with the design and development of project management systems and worked directly with local partners and consultants to develop and monitor project scopes of work, budgets, and timelines. Additionally, I was supporting partners CSOs through capacity building in monitoring and evaluation tools and the collection of data to inform project reports and decisions as I was overseeing the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit. I ensured effective systems and processes are in place to inform learning and program development.
I was ensuring the quality, integrity and security of project-generated data. Also, I was leads in formulation, implementation and updates of the project Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Plan in collaboration with the sectorial managers and cross-cutting team. I was responsible for ensuring successful Data Quality Assessment(s), evaluations, other audits and the timeliness of all project deliverables.
I undertook Key Informant Interviews with staff and local authorities who participated in the SWIFT program, from Oxfam, Tearfund, Hyfro and Health Zones. Interview guides was provided. Interviews took place in Goma, Beni and Butembo for any interviewees based there; for interviewees based elsewhere, phone interviews were arranged. Data was transcribed and a report was sent to inform the program review which should take place 3 months later.
As Senior Manager for RRMP (Rapid Response to Population Movements), I was responsible for permanent monitoring of emergency interventions, capacity building of emergency team, capitalization of experiences and continuous learning and sharing of best practices. I ensured that cross issues like gender and protection are considered in all interventions.
I was responsible for the monitoring, evaluation, learning, accountability and information management systems under the Oxfam-led SWIFT consortium. I worked closely with the M&E focal points and Project managers from each of the consortium partner agencies and the program implementation teams to ensure effective MEAL practices are applied throughout the project period – and specifically provide technical leadership on related activities such as assessments, evaluations, learning events and inter-agency learning accountability systems.
I was a support in designing, developing and implementing effective M&E and accountability systems and processes to improve Swift program quality in line with donor requirements. I ensured that Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning within our program is effectively supported and that increased accountability to beneficiaries, donors and other stakeholders is achieved in line with Oxfam and donor policies and practices. As part of the Emergency team, I was responsible for RRMP data collection and ensuring our information management systems are efficient, reliable, easy-to-use, and aligned with internal and external reporting requirements. I was designing tools for data collection and analysis for appropriate monitoring and evaluation activities and reporting.
I was responsible to establish and sustain a robust information management system in ACF’s. Through close collaboration with the operations and technical staff, I developed information products such as factsheets and digitized tools, provide technical support to quantitative and qualitative data analysis for surveys and assessments, and act as overall lead on information management tasks. I primarily aimed to transform data collected from ACF interventions and activities into meaningful information that facilitated learning and informed quality programming.
