SPM/CLP Portfolio Projects Lead

· Manage in-country fabrication of two new Single Point Mooring (SPM) Buoys using a local vendor with no experience in executing projects of this scope and complexity

· Set us an integrated project management offices constituting of client, contractor and class with remote technical support initially from IMODCO France subsequently enabling onsite support from this OEM

· Managed a team size of over 120 persons ant peak including about 15 direct reports coordinating procurement, Quality Assurance, Health, Safety, Security and Environment, logistics, onsite fabrication, change management, pre-commissioning and hot commissioning of the fully functional buoy.

· Managed construction planning for shallow offshore installation of the first buoy including mobilization of the offshore spread, tow of the fully functional buoy to site and installation to replace decommissioned export system to enable improved export system availability offshore Forcados Terminal.

· Completed in-country fabrication of the first tow of four SPM Buoys and currently initiated the process to commence sub component manufacture for the next two buoys by IMODCO France. Working this process to replace four aged SPM buoys based on our SPM Buoy Integrity Management Program.


SPM/CLP Portfolio Projects (2019 – March 2025)

· Spearheaded two 7 yearly overhaul refurbishment on Single Point Mooring (SPM) buoys at dry docks and in-situ repairs on in-service SPM buoys to maintain crude oil export capability offshore Bonny & Forcados terminals.

· Managed five yearly statutory inspections, facility upgrades and fabric maintenance for the two Crude Loading Platforms (CLP) offshore Forcados and Bonny Terminals including splash zone protection and subsea structural inspections.

· Oversaw contract holder accountability on the SPM lifecycle management Contract (valued $210M+) and the CLP Rehabilitation Contract (valued $170M+), to maintain export system availability.

· Led technical and commercial tenders for new contract to fabricate four new SPM buoys and held accountability for this contract (value 186mln) post award. Successfully managed fabrication of the first two buoy prior to the SPDC share sales and still retains this accountability in the new organization to date

· Held direct accountability for delivery of the Southern Swamp Sales Gas Evacuation Pipeline (SSSGEP) valued $208M and preservation of a net work of gas gathering pipelines pre-commissioned in 2015 (total network value $584M) till I achieved first gas in June 2019 (2 months ahead of schedule) safely with over 1.5M man-hours LTI-free.

· Managed Detailed Engineering, Procurement, and installation of a 34km gas pipeline, including a 1.7km shore pull, achieving a record 135 joints per day weld joint productivity with 0.45% weld repair rate offshore and 1.2% repair rate onshore.

· Elevated a first-time local EPC contractor's HSSE and planning performance from amber to green, bolstering Nigeria’s local content initiative.

· Led engineering and construction for a $284M swamp-based pipeline network with complex river crossings and offshore tie-ins.

· Delivered extensive platform infrastructure including High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems (HIPPS), four pig launcher platforms, four pig receiver platforms and wet gas handling header, fiber optics link for a remote wellhead control platform. Managed installation of multiple pipe crossings and pipeline interfaces with the gas processing plant.

· Secured warranty extensions and pipeline preservation agreements with EPCs, protecting asset integrity for 4 years.

· Managed fabrication of two pig launcher and receiver platforms and six block valve platforms of over 350tons gross weight.

. Managed engineering of late execution changes to ensure safe commissioning of all 14 crude delivery lines connected the Nembe Creek - Cawthorne Channel Trunkline.

Managed pipeline installations across 5 major river crossings and complex structural works to install the two pig launcher and receiver platforms with associated pipe works.

· Supervised pipe coating and over 3000 truck runs to convey 105km of bare pipes to the coating yard for 3LPE and concrete-weight coating and over 30 barge runs to deliver coated pipes to site.

· Managed commissioning, regulatory approval, CSU processes, and project closeout with $230M in variations negotiated and settled.

• Managed Detailed Engineering Design for NCTL Project using a first-time local design contractor. Played the role of Resident Design Engineer at both Eneraco Design Office, Fano Italy and Chestermead Design Office in Elelenwo, Port Harcourt (which required a lot of hand holding for the first-time inexperienced Design Contractor). Also supported Project Lead in resolving commercial crisis between Chestermead and Eneraco.
• Developed tendering deliverables for the NCTL Project including repackaging the EPC tender into two packages, defining clear battery limits for these packages, and working interface accountabilities into the contract scopes for each package for award to two independent EPC vendors.

• Implemented EIA studies for the105km pipeline right of way and successfully acquired 30m right of way strip to cover installation and operation requirement. Implement environment mitigation plans including reforestation programs.

• Managed Procurement of long lead items (line pipes, bends, valves, etc) and bulk items (elbows, gaskets, flanges, tees, etc) which where free issued to the EPC contractors.
