• Pre-operative Preparations: Set up and calibrate anaesthetic machines, monitors (ECG, blood pressure, oxygen saturation), and airway equipment (endotracheal tubes, laryngeal masks).

• 2. Intraoperative Monitoring and Patient Care
• Intra-operative Supports: Assisting anaesthetist with induction, maintenance, and reversal of anaesthesia.
• Airway Management: Assisting with endotracheal intubation, laryngeal mask insertion, and extubating, including preparing difficult airway equipment.
• Vascular Access: Assisting with insertion of intravenous (IV) lines, arterial lines, and central lines.
• Regional Anaesthesia: Preparing equipment for and assisting with spinal, epidural, and regional nerve block

Intraoperative Monitoring and Patient Care

• Patient Monitoring: Applying and monitoring patient vital signs (ECG, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, and depth of anaesthesia).
• Documentation: Accurately recording patient information, drug administration, and physiological data in real-time.
• Patient Safety: Ensuring proper patient positioning to prevent injury and monitoring for pressure sores or nerve damage.
• Blood Salvage: Operating cell-saver machines for intraoperative blood salvage and transfusion.
• Fluid Management: Setting up and administering IV fluids and blood products.

3. Equipment and Technical Management

• Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues with anaesthetic machines, ventilators, and monitoring equipment immediately.
• Calibration: Ensuring all monitoring equipment is fully calibrated and functional.
• Sterility: Adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.

4. Emergency Response

• Resuscitation: Assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and managing equipment during emergency situations, such as cardiac arrest or massive haemorrhage.
• Crisis Management: Acting as a key resource in managing unexpected patient deterioration.

5. Medication and Supply Handling

• Drug Preparation: Preparing, drawing up, and label medications (e.g., anesthetics, sedatives, paralytics) under direction of anaesthetist.
• Consumable Management: Monitoring stock levels and ensuring necessary supplies (airway, vascular, drug) are available during case.

6. Post-Procedure Transition

• Transfer: Assisting in safe transfer of patient from operating table to post-operative care unit (PACU).
• Cleaning: Decontaminating and sterilizing equipment for next case.

• Carry out anaesthetic machine checks according to Health Standards.
• Preparation of medical supplies required for anaesthetic list according to specialty.
• Assisting anaesthetist to insert intravenous lines and administration of intravenous fluids and invasive monitoring.
• Assisting anaesthetist with administration of anaesthesia to patients.
• Supporting anaesthetist with airway management including difficult in airway equipment and techniques
• Assisting anaesthetist in emergency including administration of emergency drugs under supervision of anaesthetist.
• Monitoring of patient's vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, Co2, ECG and temperature in preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative anaesthesia.
• Take roles of third person in theatre and assisted in that capacity during t operation procedure when appropriate.
• Maintaining accurate documentation for effective patient safety and clinical management.
• Participating in quality improvement processes and activities and be accountable for following work routines, policies, procedures and expected anaesthetic standards.
