Summary

Development expert with several years' experience in coordinating and implementing health and governance interventions in Northern Nigeria working with different donor funded programs including DFID now FCDO, USAID, Global Fund, Population Services International as well as Coca-Cola Africa foundation across different areas of health interventions including Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), HIV and AIDS, Family Planning, Child Survival, Nutrition and Health system strengthening. Has technical experience across the HIV, FP and MNCH continuum as well as building and leading complex teams working across multiple programs. Has strong advocacy skills and experience working with the traditional institutions in the northern states to facilitate required institutional behavior change that facilitate effective programme implementation with considerable experience in facilitation and training. Hands on expertise in community engagement using participatory approaches. Most recently a State Partnership Facilitator with FCDO Partnership to Engage, Reform and Learn (PERL) Programme in Jigawa State fostering partnerships between citizens and government towards addressing service delivery challenges in the state.

· Worked to ensure the frontline delivery of programme objectives with focus on strengthening citizens’ engagement in government processes for improved service delivery especially in education and health.
