  • 12/2021, Present, Gender and Protection Assistant, World Vision (UNDP Project-Lamwo), Implementing the UNDP/KOICA Protection and Gender Programme interventions, as well as ensuring protection and gender mainstreaming in to the livelihoods programming in the settlement and host communities we work with, initiate action in the areas of protection and gender, identify and deal appropriately with existing and emerging protection and gender gaps/issues at the Cash for work sites to provide technical support in relation to relevant protection and gender standards;, ensure mental stability of target clients through (MHPSS) Problem Management Plus Model, staff and stakeholder capacity building, awareness raising and sensitization on gender inequality norms and practices/PSEA, as well as ensure adherence to child protection minimum standards in humanitarian action (SPHERE Standards) and principles as well as the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse/Code of Conduct among others., Trained/built the capacity of over 70 staff both in Lamwo and Adjumani, 30 key stakeholders and partners both at district and subcounty level, 28 community structures/members on Gender and Protection mainstreaming, humanitarian protection, protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) and sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) among others as well as strengthened and supported local actor's capacity to apply the concept of case management to GBV/PSEA multi-sectoral response interventions through gender awareness and sensitivity trainings, dialogue meetings thus ensuring safe and confidential referrals for survivors., Strengthened Partnerships and stakeholder engagements like Local and district officials, Partner agencies like OPM, UNHCR, CDOs, LCs and Religious leaders in project activities trainings, meetings which led to high levels of trust and support. (over 10 monthly working group meetings and still ongoing, 04 thematic days, 10 community dialogues with women, men, boys and girls supported by local and district stakeholders among others), Organized Program's such as community radio talk shows, dramas etc. that directly advocate ending violence against children, women and girls and also participated in the celebration of thematic days like Day of the African child (DAC), girl children, 16days of activism, international women's day among others that raise awareness on GBV and human rights among others. The community radio talk show has set precedence for the organization and has become a for a or plat form for engaging live session dialogues/discussions with community/duty bearers hence giving accountability to the people we serve., Provided MHPSS services to over 600 beneficiaries using the PM+ model which has worked miracles in their recovery mentally, and also increased self-reliance, efforts and productivity in their livelihoods. Data collected indicated that groups who benefited from the MHPSS services (PM+ model) perform better than those who have not which is an indication that mainstreaming gender and protection/MHPSS into livelihoods enhances resilience and self -reliance., Engaged, networked and collaborated with different Partners and Stakeholders in different forums like trainings, coordination meetings, dialogue conversations with respect to gender, protection and MHPSS issues, which helped in strengthening the referral and reporting mechanisms thus improved service delivery to communities and enhanced capacities of the people we serve., Provided information to communities through awareness raising, community led activities like road walks and drives and also through GBV/PSEA and MHPSS communication materials., Provided technical support through trainings and clinical supervisions to different projects like (MOFA), local leaders within and outside my areas of operation (Adjumani and Lamwo) in mainstreaming gender and protection, prevention and response and this gave birth to new projects like Yumbe MHPSS project among others., Conducted over 50 onsite case management on issues related to CFW assistance, protection and gender hence smooth implementation of project activity and enhancing safe space for cash for work beneficiaries to work in., Submitted over 24 Monthly/weekly reports of the project's developments in both GBV/MHPSS activities and tracking of the gender budget and activities which ensured proper accountability and budget management., Mapped out key actors in PSEA and SGBV in the settlement for referrals and linkages.
