Responsible and accountable for HSE compliance within their area of responsibility, including communication and implementation of such policies and procedures; demonstrate management’s commitment to health, safety, and environmental protection.

• Ensure Floormen, Pumpman and Derrickmen are correctly deployed for ongoing and upcoming operations, and that they are familiar with the equipment in use and its safe operation.

• Ensure planned maintenance on drilling equipment is performed by the drilling crew and is recorded.

• Carry out daily checks and ensure the choke manifold is properly lined up for the current operation.

• Perform thorough and timely derrick inspections and Dropped Object Checks, document the results, and ensure any anomalies are reported.

• Ensure good housekeeping in all drilling areas.

• Complete sections of daily drilling reports as directed by the Driller.

• Calculate and record drilling line ton miles.

• Take active role with well control drills.

• Take an active role in planning work for crew members before work commences and include relevant personnel in the planning process.

• Show active participation in Hazard Management and Stop Work activities.

• Operate drilling equipment in accordance with Company procedures, agreed plans and manufacturers’ recommendations.

• Effectively contribute to Management of Change and Non-Conformance Management through compliance with Change and Non-Conformance Procedures.
