  • ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Collect current symptom, as well as a detailed patient history and then consult and coordinate with health care team member to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plan
  • Performs triage, while considering both physical and psychosocial elements
  • Manage basic life support need and stabilize patient until the attending physician is available, based upon nursing standard and protocol
  • Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment show adverse symptomatology
  • Records patient’ current vital signs
  • Works directly under physician, assisting them during examination, diagnostic testing and treatment
  • Prepare and administer (orally, subcutaneously, intravenous and intramuscular) and record prescribed medication.
  • Report adverse reactions to medication or treatment in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medication by a licensed registered nurse
  • Provide intravenous therapy
