PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST / SUPPLY CHAIN COORDINATOR:
- Sourcing, Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and selecting the best suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability
- Actively paticipate in the supplier's selection and undertake performance reviews
- Managing end-to-end procurement activities
- Maintaining optimal inventory levels and reducing lead times.
- Implementing vendor performance management system, enhancing supplier accountability
- Drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and protect the interests of the organization
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers to make business savings
- Creating LPO for vendors
- Assessing and monitoring supplier performance to ensure they meet contractual obligations and quality standards
- Ensuring that the goods/services purchased are at the best TCO & contract conditions
- Ensuring that the goods & services purchased are in accordance with the Purchase Requisition (PR)
- Negotiating/pricing of terms to achieve cost savings while maintaining or improving product and service quality
- Conducting market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities
- Negotiating based on the standard procurement guidelines and metrics which include quality, specifications, timeline to delivery
- Negotiating payment terms to ensure items are gotten in a cost-effective manner
- Ensuring procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies
- Maintain accurate purchase and pricing records
- Following up in enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures are being met
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders such as operation, finance, and quality assurance to align procurement activities with overall business goals
- Addressing and resolving issues related to procurement processes, supplier relationships, and product/service quality
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement activities
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to optimize the end-to-end supply chain, aligning it with overall business objectives
- Overseeing inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs
- Managing the transportation and distribution of goods, optimizing routes, and ensuring timely deliveries
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and implementing strategies to mitigate and manage these risks
- Leading and managing a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance and direction to achieve organizational goals
- Implementing and utilizing advanced technologies such as ERP systems, RFID, and other tools to enhance supply chain visibility and efficiency.
- Coordinating transportation and logistics activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
