- HSE Authority on the permit to work-process for OFS sites to perform PTW workflow completion and see to it that prescriptions and risk mitigation steps are applied.
- Support preparation of job risk assessments, permit to work procedures, work-site preparation and site based on-the-job training as carried out as stipulated by Total E&P company rules, general specification and local TEPNG work procedures.
- Active participation with identifying and defining mitigation, to minimize risks, and the impact of activities, especially for simultaneous operations or in downgraded situations.
- Coordinate OFS site incidents and anomaly reporting and classification and active participation in OFS investigations and incidents analyses as well as manage follow-up, execution and close-out of actions determined after such incident, accident, audit and inspection analyses.
- Co-ordinate with the Inspection department to check availability and maintenance of prevention materials and equipment as well as intervention materials and equipment.
- Perform random as well as scheduled periodic audits of installations and operations, to ensure compliance with the statutory and company policies and procedures (to include work instructions, directives and specifications) on OFS.
- Guide and supervise OFS HSE Supervisor assistants on preparation of works and operations checks to ensure prescribed PTW work management measures are enforced at the job sites as well as electronic filing and submission of HSE reports.
- Ensure all visitors to OFS site undertake HSE induction and that information presented is up to date.
- Function as ERIT Leader (Emergency team leader) for the management of site emergencies crisis and contingency management systems.
- Support implementation of site drill plan on OFS to ensure preparedness for emergency situations through scheduled drill exercises, training as well as follow-up of identified improvement opportunities.
- Active participation with preparation and the attendance of site HSE committees and other HSE fora.

- To co-ordinate the activity of operations personnel to ensure the safe and efficient operation of gas and condensate export, pipelines, utilities, and safety systems with safety being the prime consideration.

- To assist with the development and motivation of the production operators to ensure a competent workforce which is fully aware of all safety systems and procedures and of the necessity to strictly adhere to them.
