I advise the entire operations and supply chain arm of the business in Nigeria and Kenya. My legal support includes negotiating contracts with vendors, advising on myriad legal issues to ensure smooth business operations, support to the Corporate and Regulatory Affairs team on dealing with government regulators and other external stakeholders. Currently involved in excise audit for Nigeria and leaf and excise audits for Kenya.

I advise the Operations Human Resources team on employee-related matters such as negotiating labour union contracts, managing external labour service providers, and advising on disciplinary committees and medical review boards for employees with long-term illnesses.

I am also Litigation Counsel for Nigeria and in this capacity, I manage external counsel relationships for the efficient handling of legal matters and review and approve court processes for filing. I am involved in witness management in terms of preparing the business' witnesses for trial in Court.

I rose through the ranks in the firm from a puisne Associate to a Partner in just under a decade. As an associate, I was involved in largely involved in both criminal and civil litigation, brainstorming with the team of counsel, legal research on contentious issues, drafting court processes and appearing in Court on behalf of clients. I also supported property transactions by carrying out due diligence at the relevant government repositories such as land registries, probate registries and the Corporate Affairs Commission.

I was promoted to Senior Associate in 2020 by which time I led the Arbitration and ADR practice group and was deputy team lead for the Property law practice group. I was lead or deputy lead counsel in several arbitration matters. I also represented clients before the police and other law enforcement agencies.

In 2022, I was promoted to Partner and became head of the Property Law practice group. I was recognised by Legal 500 as a Recommended Lawyer for Dispute Resolution. I was also elected the Chairman of the Young Members Group of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Nigeria Branch and my tenure ran from 2022 - 2025.
