- Supported International observation mission in 2015 Nigerian elections as well as staggered gubernatorial election in Nigeria. supported IRI's Post-Election and short term International Election Observation Missions. Participated in the planning, implementation, and reporting of over 10 critical pre-election, election, and post-election workshops, training, and dialogues between the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), political parties, the media and underrepresented groups like youth, women, and persons with disabilities.

- Designed a political party strengthening concept for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which helped in the development of a PDP 2015 Post Election Review Report; my effort led to the institutional and technical support provided to the PDP Committee to enable them to review the party participation in the 2015 general election and to proffer recommendations that would solve salient issues. This effort later assisted the party to come up with an articulated document known as the PDP Strategy, this on its strength the party capacity ahead of 2019.

- Assisted in holding multi-party stakeholder dialogue on the Anambra governorship election in 2013, the outcome of the dialogue assisted IRI to support political parties on the current engagement for reforms in the Constitution and Electoral Act in 2017.

- In 2014 I supported the process that organized the National Stakeholders Forum on Electoral Reform which facilitates strong stakeholder consensus and commitments on critical actions that need to be taken to strengthen the electoral process, ahead of the 2015 national elections in Nigeria. I contributed to the process to build consensus support for important reform issues by the three arms of government, INEC, and other critical election stakeholders. The outcome of this summit was instrumental is currently been used to drive legal and administrative changes in the Electoral Act 2017.

- Contributed to the development of the Political Party Assessment conducted in May and June 2015 to establish the post-election status of all the registered political parties following the outcome of the 2015 general elections, the assessment provided findings in the following areas; Structural, Organizational and Party Administration, Membership, Internal process and Transparency, Governance Structure and Policy Development, Governance Structure, Communication, Inclusion of Marginalized, Policy and Platform Development and Finally Finance Development.

- Provides technical support to APC to review its constitution and assure inclusive gender-friendly constitution.

- Conducted political party assessment to ascertain the ideological leanings, membership base, structural, administrative, and operational capacity of Nigeria's political parties.

- As an integrator, I understand the process of linking projects to different sectors to achieve an optimal outcome. For example, before the 2015 general election, I worked with private sector groups in Nigeria to develop business agendas that were adopted by political parties during elections and later used as the state government's development blueprint.

* Supported effective program outreach plans by: Assisted in implementing IRI's Youth Election Observation Strategy. Helped to mobilize youth observers, train and deploy observation missions to the gubernatorial elections in Edo, Ondo, and FCT Area Council Elections respectively.- Assisted in training of youth CSO leaders/undergraduates on election observation; trainees were from leading organizations including the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Nigerian Youth Parliament, and tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Youth with disabilities were specially considered and mainstreamed into the observation mission for the July 14, 2012, Edo gubernatorial election.

- Assisted in mobilizing target campaign managers from 21 political parties ahead of Anambra 2013 Governorship election to participate in a Campaign Managers Training on the Political Parties Code of Conduct ahead of November 2013, Anambra state gubernatorial election to help renew political party campaigns commitment to non-violent elections in a campaign that was increasingly becoming violent.

  • Gathered information and entered details into computer tracking spreadsheets, documents and databases. Trained over 100 political party poll agents to effectively monitor the staggered gubernatorial elections in Anambra on November 18, 2013, to be precise. These poll agents contributed to IRI’s observation of the elections in view by communicating several Election Day incidences’ to the Institute’s observation mission.

Accomplishments

  • With experience working with important players in our electoral and political field such as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), political parties, Nigerian civil society organizations (CSO’s) and marginalized groups to improve their participation in Nigeria's governance, electoral, political process
  • During my stint with the International Republican Institute (IRI) provided the opportunity to organize several interfaces on the campaign and party finance by political parties during elections in 2013, this assisted the INEC to introduce minimum standards for political parties to adhere in their campaign spending
  • And for political parties to publish their yearly expenditure to the Commission and make their records available in order to promote transparency and reduce the cost of politics in Nigeria
  • With IRI, I worked alongside the then Political Party Monitoring (PPM) Unit of INEC to assist political parties to train and deploy their polling unit agents on the approved INEC guidelines
  • Very remarkable is working with the Inter-Party Advisory Council (INEC) to develop a political party Code of Conduct to enable parties to play active roles in entrenching democratic values in political parties, other experience Is in conflict mitigation for political parties to enable them to adhere to internal democratic norms, develop inclusive constitutions for their internal processes and functions
  • With the National Democratic Institute (NDI), I ensured coaching citizens and organizations on advocacy, legislative advocacy, messaging, supporting the development of a legislative framework to prevent and mitigate all forms of gender-based violence in seven states namely (Kaduna, Bayelsa, Rivers, Kogi, Edo, Osun and Ekiti State)
  • I have maintained consistency in managing campaigns to reduce all forms of violence targeted at women and girls in the states mentioned
  • Designing programs that improved citizen’s participation through targeted messaging during awareness-raising activities, advocacy asks for community and state influencers, offering day to day technical support to local CSO’s to be able to implement programs that help to mitigate and prevent Gender-based violence and eliminate all forms of violence targeted at women

  • Advocacy leading to the enactment of Violence Against Persons Prohibition (Law) in Ekiti, Kaduna, Bayelsa, Ondo and Kogi State
  • I have worked on programs that helped State government’s build synergy among CSO’s, groups and governmental institutions to mitigate gender-based violence, My stint with the International Republican Institute (IRI) also provided an opportunity to map and develop a mechanism of including gender issues such as GBV in local governance and removing barriers that reduce the full participation of women in governance and in politics
  • Gender inclusion made it possible for political leaders to organize constituency outreaches as an avenue of understanding the issues like GBV in the community and then include the issues in party manifestoes and or legislative agenda

  • Between 2017 and 2018, I assumed a technical adviser to the then Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) and In 2018, joined the National Democratic Institute (NDI) as a Program Officer to support two projects which are Elections Empowerment for Civil Society Project (EESCP) and Sustaining Electoral Engagement for Democracy (SEED) projects
