Responsibilities; Medical Doctor in ITFC • Provide Outpatient/or in medical care to patients/beneficiaries according to adapted and updated medical knowledge, MSF protocols, values and universal hygiene standards to improve the patients/beneficiaries health conditions. • Case management of Malnutrition and Paediatric emergencies. Achievements; • A total of 2707 severe acute malnourished (SAM) patients were admitted, managed in the inpatient therapeutic feeding centre (ITFC), stabilized, and discharged to ambulatory therapeutic feeding centre (ATFC) with a mortality rate kept within the acceptable limit 3.8%. • A total of 67 life threatening pediatrics cases were successfully identified and referred to Federal Medical Centre Gusau (FMC) in accordance with MSF referral criteria. Capacity building trainings for Doctors, Nurses, and Nutrition Assistants by Paediatric Referent.
