Current projects include:

• Creating the framework for and guiding the leadership team through a comprehensive business risk review for our vertical's book of business. This includes risk identification, risk assessment, creating strategies for mitigating risk, and risk monitoring.
• Coordinating efforts with corporate IT, vendors, and transportation operations personnel to bring our vertical's commercial vehicle fleet into compliance with the Electronic Logging Device (ELD) government mandate.
• Managing a dedicated transportation launch for a customer requiring dynamic routing of suppliers within a 50 mile radius of their facility.

Quality: Managed the quality system, performed audits, and provided quality-related training for my accounts.Projects included:

Project Management: Responsibilities included coordinating the efforts of cross-functional teams (operations, IT, lean, engineering, finance, safety), tracking progress to plan, tracking open action items, escalating issues as required and reporting progress to executive stake holders.

• Implemented cross-dock and consolidation services for core returns through an existing Ryder distribution center network for a current customer, creating a 20% reduction in freight costs and giving the customer better visibility of their core return freight.
• Successfully managed a multi-phase, multi-million dollar project that involved the redesign of 3 established distribution centers and the launch of 2 new distribution center sites.

• Worked with transportation engineers and customer's manufacturing locations to reduce freight costs and optimize transportation route designs to achieve budget; we implemented $2.09 million in savings May 2012 through May 2013.
• Collaborated with the team that created the monthly freight accrual and approved it before the final version was sent to Finance.
• Maintained freight payment metrics and oversaw the customer's third party pay agent.
• Maintained the Modular Control Review Process (MCRP) book for Transportation and Freight Payment by testing controls and compiling the test evidence.

Managed teams of logistics professionals working at two customer locations. Responsibilities included transportation planning, contracting, carrier performance measurement, freight claims, and freight payment of all inbound and outbound transportation.

• Reduced transportation costs by $791K in 2010 and $550K in 2011.
• Reduced demurrage costs by $120K in 2010 and by $104K in 2011.
• Recovered over $40K in freight claims against carriers in 2010 and recovered $23K in 2011.
