  • Conduct and Monitor multi-sector needs (MSNM), Health Safety and Environment (HSE), Safety Audits, service provision and overall condition of a camp including shelter, WASH, environment and cross-cutting services such as prevention and response to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), health, psychosocial support according to agree upon guidelines, standards and indicators.
  • Coordinate activities of different actors providing assistance and support effective referral mechanisms within camp(s).
  • Establish, strengthen and monitor effective, transparent, representative site governance system including coordination of camp(s) service provision and other defined activities.
  • Set up and maintain camp information management system in line with global CCCM Cluster guidelines including sex and age disaggregated data collection and transparent, yet appropriate, information sharing with all relevant stakeholders in a manner that upholds the principle of confidentiality.

  • Serve as the focal point for all activities in the reception site and ensure the day by day smooth running of all reception site activities.
  • Coordinate with relevant protection partners in the screening, identification and registration of new arrivals.
  • Monitored service provision to ensure gaps are filled, duplication is avoided, and services are provided according to sphere standards

Accomplishments

  • In the last 6 months, through referrals and consistent follow up, my team and I have been able to get shelter partners (NRC/CRS) to construct 964 emergency and transitional shelters across 6 NRC managed camps
  • Set up camp governance structures in 17 NRC managed camps and through feedback obtained through site management meetings and other coordination mechanisms, was able to pull WASH, Shelter, Education and food assistance to over 5000HH resident in those camps
  • Developed a data collection tool for the placement of IDP/Refugee returnees at the Banki IDP camp in Banki to resolve the camp placement issues brought on as a result of congestion at the reception centre
