Dr. Anyika currently serves as a Deputy Director with the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), where she has played key roles in maritime safety administration, cabotage enforcement, and stakeholder engagement. Her maritime career began at Nigerdock Nigeria Plc, Snake Island, before joining Sullivan and Sullivan Nigeria Limited, Port Harcourt, where she was responsible for Energy 3rd Party Deconfliction at Cawthorne Channels, ensuring seamless coordination for multinational oil and gas projects. She subsequently rose through the ranks in NIMASA, serving at the Premier Port, Apapa, as Port Services Controller at Tin Can Island Port, and working closely with the Nigerian Navy's Maritime Guard Command to enforce vessel safety and compliance regulations within Nigerian waters. Beyond public service, Dr. Anyika is the National Publicity Secretary of the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria (CIOTA), where she drives national advocacy on sustainable transport infrastructure, professional regulation, and integrated mobility systems. She is the Convener of the Ocean Wide Tourism Initiative (OWTI) - a development platform focused on blue economy investment, youth employment, and eco-tourism in Nigeria's littoral states. She also serves as Chair, Board of Trustees, Women in Maritime and Energy (WIME) Awards, recognizing excellence and leadership among women in the maritime and energy sectors. In addition, she is Secretary of the 2025 Electoral Committee of the Women in Energy Network (WIEN), and an erstwhile General Secretary of the Women's International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA) Nigeria, where she championed women's participation in maritime governance and global trade.
