Job Description:

- Knowing, promoting, implementing and following up the universal hygiene standards/ precautions, bio-hazard prevention and infection control, security rules and other protocols and procedures in the medical premises and ensuring high standards of hygiene of his/her working environment. Respecting medical secrets and confidentiality at all times.

- Organizing and carrying out care and treatments according to medical prescriptions, and assisting during consultations, daily rounds and other medical procedures. Participating in health education of the patient (and family) when necessary.

- Identifying Sexually Gender Based Violence victims and referring them to the medical team so they can receive the necessary treatment. Knowing and is aware of the importance and appropriate use of the Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) Kit

- Ensuring patients are properly received and installed and that those with lack of autonomy are assisted, especially regarding their feeding, personal hygiene, movements and comfort. For ER and OPD nurse, ensuring triage of patients in waiting areas, wards or during emergencies, detecting the priority acute/emergency cases, carrying out first aid care and referring them to the doctor when

necessary

- Sending material to be sterilized and recuperates it from sterilization

- Carrying out admission, surveillance and follow-up of patients (i.e. assessment of the evolution of their state of health and the identification of any emergency situation or deterioration

- Carrying and supervising administrative procedures and documents (fill in patient’s files, forms, consumptions, statistics, registers, health files, etc.), ensuring an appropriate written/oral handover, and reporting any problematic situations and cases that may arise.

- Participating in data collection and keeping doctors/supervisors informed.

- Participating in the department-related pharmacy and medical equipment control and maintenance (quality and its functioning, storage conditions, follow-up of expired drugs inventories, stock takes of medicines and material at every team changeover ensuring no material is taken out of nursing area/wards without prior authorization, etc.)

- Perform cleaning and minor maintenance for biomedical equipment used. Following the user manual and protocols and alert supervisor in case of malfunctioning.

- Supervising and training nurse-aids, nutritional assistants, cleaners and other related staff under his/her supervision, ensuring teamwork and adherence to all appropriate protocols and procedures

Job Description:

- Implement and follow at all times the universal hygiene standard, security rules and other protocols and procedures regarding nursing and children nutrition matters.

- Ensure proper functioning of the therapeutic program. This include

- Daily collect the number of new admissions and exits and to check the attendance.

- Calculate the quantity of food needed for day based on the number of children registered.

- Ensure triage of patients in waiting areas, carrying out first aid care when necessary and referring them to the doctor if necessary.

- Carry-out all patients’s related tasks for the admission, weighing and measuring children, identifying the degree and types of malnutrition, administration (patient card, register...)

- Ensure that medical and nutritional care is properly delivered to the patients and to daily follow the evolution of the patients.

- Carry out consultation to children and their parents, undertaking a complete clinical examination of children, looking for associated pathologies, drawing up nutritional surveillance forms and milk cards, providing required vaccination, etc.

- Carry-out surveillance and follow up of patient’s medical and nutritional evolution, identifying possible emergency situations arising and keeping doctors informed if necessary.

- Provide advice and inform children’s families about everything concerning the hospitalization, participate in health education of the mothers and/or treatment process.

- Control all pharmacy, food, and medical equipment (carrying out inventories, checking its quality and its functioning, storage conditions doing follow-up of expired drugs, etc.)

- Carry out and supervise administrative procedure and documents (fill in patients files, forms, statistics, etc.).Ensure an appropriate written or oral hand over, and report any problematic situations and cases arising.

Job Description:

- Ensuring comprehensive medical examination, vital signs, frequent medicine and treatment according to the protocols.

- Following and adhering to the current protocols on drug administration i.e. antibiotics, ant malarial, anthelminthic.

- Ensuring timely therapeutic preparation and administering the appropriate feeds and medicines for the malnourished children in the SC.

- Carrying out daily nutritional status monitoring of severely malnourished children as prescribed in the protocol.

- Providing appropriate nutrition counseling and health education to the mothers and caretakers in the SC based on the protocols and guidelines.

- Ensuring adequate availability of all drugs and nutrition supply and ensuring stock is prepositioned as planned.

- Consulting and informing the SC Doctor and/or Nutrition Manager on issues that may affect the smooth operations of the stabilization Centre.

- Ensuring proper handing over of duties within the SC.

- Preparing and updating the medical and nutritional record for ward rounds on a daily basis.

- Ensuring all criteria are adhered to and documented, including admission, discharge and transfer to and from the OTP

- Completing and updating the patient file to ensure a track of patient progress.

- Compiling the statistical data (admission, default, cured, absent, death) and drafting a report on activities.

- Maintaining supply consumption reports.

Job Description:

- Monitoring vital signs which includes; temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
- Carrying out physical examination particularly, palpation to assess the position of the developing
embryo
- Early detection and referral of complicated cases of pregnancy to nearby MCH
- Providing antenatal drugs to pregnant mothers
- Health educating the pregnant mothers on how to maintain there personal and environmental hygiene
and nutrients to be taken during pregnancy
- Providing routine immunization to pregnant women

Job Description:

- Give comprehensive nursing care in the OPD/IPD to patient using the available resource and refer patients as require

- Conduct dressing and injection using aseptic technique

- Work in the assigned and respect the universal precaution at all time

- Prepare for and ready for the ward rounds as per daily schedule

- Manger the patient in conformity with the prescription from the TO/ATO-PHC Doctor

- Understand the prescription and discuss necessary changing with the TO/ATO-PHC doctor before

administration

- Collect data from your department and transfer information for compilation

- Reporting daily activities from the community or health post where applicable

- To ensure timely and appropriate drugs administration of essential drug to the patient

- Actively participate in educative/administrative medical meetings in the clinic
- Participate in disease surveillance time meeting and activities
- Caring out public health intervention in out brake e.g measles, cholera, diarrhea diseases and other
communicable diseases
- In additional to the above listed responsibilities the nurse will also be responsible for any other duty necessary deemed necessary by the medical officer
- If working in ORT corner prepare ORS on a daily basis accordingly to needs Distribute and supervise ORS treatment accordingly to prescription in case of outbreak

- Receiving all immunization materials before going to the field.

- Ensure all patients receive appropriate vaccination at the right time and the right route.

- Health Educating mothers on the importance of routine immunization.

- I make sure immunization card is issued to each child that receives vaccination proper documentation.

- I adhere to proper refuse disposal and waste segregation.
