  • In addition to the Finance, Admin and Operations functions, managed initiatives in the Group channeled towards executing its retail strategy

Financial budgeting and planning

  • Coordination and preparation of the annual financial budget in with the Company’s business objectives
  • Worked with Management Team to develop, monitor performance against budget obtaining valid justifications for deviations from the Board approved budget where necessary
  • Tax planning and management
  • I planned the Group’s tax affairs with Management and the Tax Consultants, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and provisions and engage tax authorities at all levels
  • I represented the Group in engagements with the Tax authorities during desk reviews, audits and resolution meetings on tax issues

  • Management of the Group’s portfolio of financial assets, ensuring a reasonable balance between liquidity and profitability on investments
  • I engaged Treasury departments of various financial institutions on investments in money market instruments and other investment outlets that may be available from time to time
