My secondary course in banking operations technician included an annual internship plan, which consisted of 4 months of internship per year for a total period of 3 years at the Caixa Geral de Depósitos Bank, one of the leading Portuguese banks with about 90 billion euros in total assets.

This internship was extremely important in the formation of my professional career, as it helped me consolidate the foundations that I was taught at school.

During this period, I performed functions such as:

• Identifying high net worth individuals and marketing investment products to clients who are willing to invest idle capital.
• Selling account maintenance plans, insurance, and other cross-selling options.
• Assisting customers for various banking transactions.
• Providing account management services and guiding clients on digital banking solutions.

• After my internship, I signed a 6-month contract with Caixa Geral de Depósitos and began to perform the following functions, in addition to the functions I already performed as an intern:
• Make cash accounting and process payments.
• Validation of deposits.
• Cross-selling insurance and other financial products.
• Simulation of policies and involvement in credit granting processes.
• Participation in internal meetings and contribution to achieving internal objectives.
• Emptying and filling up ATM systems.
• Strong commitment to bank secrecy and banking ethics.

I worked in the credit recovery area and performed the following functions:

• Managed a portfolio of overdue accounts, negotiating debt repayment plans tailored to clients' financial situations.
• Renegotiated payment terms and deadlines, effectively reducing outstanding debt while maintaining positive client relationships.
• Collaborated with clients to develop sustainable payment solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated strong communication and problem-solving skills to facilitate successful debt recovery and resolution.
• Consistently met or exceeded monthly recovery targets through strategic negotiation and debt management techniques.

Café Phønix was my first international professional experience. It is a café and restaurant in the heart of Copenhagen, very touristy, and a fast and challenging work environment.

It was an experience that gained me many skills, such as:

• Ability to work and communicate under stress in three languages, the main one being English, consecutively Spanish, and Portuguese.
• Ability to carry out several activities in a short space of time without losing composure, such as seating customers, being attentive to the kitchen, collecting payments, making drinks, and providing information.
• Commitment, responsibility, and resilience to be well in any situation, physically and mentally, such as after 12-hour shifts.

My job functions were:

• Make schedule and attend to customers.
• Contact suppliers and replenish stock of food, drinks, utensils, and hygiene products.
• Fill out health surveillance documents and ensure that everything follows the established cleaning criteria.
• Plan the structure of the workday and make sure each waiter knows their duties for the day.
• Make the cash accounting.
• Handle and solve adverse issues raised by employees and customers.

At the Hotel Scandic, I perform the following functions:

• Greet and assist hotel guests with check-ins, check-outs, and general inquiries, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience.
• Manage room reservations and coordinate with other departments to meet guests' needs.
• Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as managing phone calls, scheduling, and handling payments.
• Maintain accurate records of guest details and reservations, ensuring data confidentiality and security.
