  • Responsible for End-To-End Planning and Execution of maintenance activities and projects specifically in areas of Instrumentation, Metering, SCADA, and ICSS (Integrated Control and Safeguarding Systems) on the Sea Eagle FPSO (30kbod) and SPDC West Assets; Forcados Oil Terminal, Otumra and TUNU flow stations with circa 150kbod production
  • Develop and review maintenance strategies (Preventive maintenance plans/maintenance programs), operating procedures for all field Instruments and integrated control and safeguarding/Safety systems (ICSS) for Sea Eagle FPSO and other flow stations
  • Develop work scope, plan and safely execute Turnaround maintenance activities for safety critical (SCE) & all Instrumentation, electronic control system, Electrical and Metering system with an optimized resource
  • Define & review all contractor work scope in line with the approved contract agreement, terms & conditions
  • Manage annual maintenance OPEX budget of circa $1.5mln and CAPEX Budget of circa $5mln
  • Supervise the installation, maintenance (preventive & corrective) and modification activities of instrument & control systems and equipment
  • Facilitate & manage effective stakeholder engagements with government agencies, regulators & Partners; NUPRC, NAPIMS, contractors and the original equipment manufacturers (OEM)
  • Addressed all queries regarding budgets, equipment maintenance, modifications, spare parts, drawings/documentations
  • Participate in equipment failure investigation using Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Causal reasoning methodology and identify improvement areas for cost/process optimization
  • Lead and coordinate interfaces with other teams/departments (i.e., Operations, engineering, procurement, contracting.)
  • Ensure availability of spares for maintenance, follow up new material order and advise material stocking levels
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities carried out by contractors to efficiently deliver the approved work scope
  • Effectively manage medium to long-term planning (contract management, contractor mobilization, materials procurement, etc) and execution of major maintenance activities on field instrumentation, metering, Electrical and control systems such as within approved budget
  • Facilitate and ensure safe delivery of upgrades/modifications on field Instruments, Fire & Gas systems, Safety systems, electronic control system and Metering System as required
  • Facilitate and participate in design reviews, risk assessments, HAZOPs, HAZIDs and SIL assessments for safety system
  • Manage Health Safety & Environment (HSE) in line with the business plan and goals.

  • Carried out improvement initiative that led to increase of Sea Eagle FPSO Flash Gas & Export Gas Compressor (20MMscf of gas capacity daily) reliability from less than 60% to 97%.
  • Led cost reduction initiatives optimizing material ordering/delivery process which resulted to reduction in the meantime to repair (MTTR) of critical equipment by 50% preventing wrong material delivery.
  • Achieved cost avoidance of over $300k through effective analysis of maintenance budget and equipment failure investigation to prevent repeated failures.
  • Led (Project Engineer) the upgrade of Forcados Oil Terminal Yokogawa DCS and Tyco Fire & Gas system.
  • Facilitated end-to-end planning for the revamp of two (2) units of faulty Domnick Hunter Instrument air dryers which led to overall increase in system availability & reliability.
  • Carried out upgrade of the Sea Eagle FPSO Flare Metering System eliminating measurement discrepancies, gaps and compliance issues with the regulator.
  • Led the upgrade of Sea Eagle FPSO Inert Gas Generator control system upgrade (i.e., control valves, HMI, Simatic PLCs, oxygen analysers and other process monitoring instruments).
  • Carried out upgrade of Linear Heat Detection system (firewire system) on Sea Eagle FPSO.
  • Participated in several interventions which resulted in achievement of 6months un-interrupted production with no Loss Time Inquiry(LTI) on Sea Eagle FPSO through optimization of maintenance activities.
  • Optimization of critical spares for Safety & production critical equipment on the Bonga FPSO.
  • Participated in the successful development of the Bonga and Sea Eagle FPSO equipment asset register.
  • Increased equipment spares availability on Bonga and Sea Eagle FPSO by 55%.
