  • Supporting the development and customization of procurement processes and procedures by providing regular feedback
  • Responsible for managing the onboarding of new suppliers ensuring they are provided with all key information and received mandatory trainings for working with Save the Children International e.g. Child Protection, Fraud, Whistle lowing and Child Safeguarding. I have conducted pre-qualification exercises for 280 local suppliers across 11 categories of items
  • Responsible for collecting and documenting all relevant procurement information from programs and suppliers to ensure due diligence and checks are carried out and also for audit purpose
  • Nurturing relationships with suppliers to negotiate cost savings where possible. Negotiated over 11,000 USD in cost savings for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) materials with preferred suppliers
  • Proactively building, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the business to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of program activities and operation
  • Processed all suppliers’ payments within 5 working days of receipt of invoices. this has helped to maintain good relationship with suppliers
  • Receiving and processing local orders and also ensuring they are correctly filled, have acceptable quantity/specifications and that coding has been provided to ensure quality product and services are provided and rendered at the right time in the right place that meets business requirement. I achieved this by organizing knowledge sharing session once a week to educate programs on how to develop good specification and also to understand the Organization procurement procedures
  • Identifying and implementing of best practice in all areas of procurement management and activity to ensure fairness and transparency in procurement process
  • Ensuring compliance in all areas of procurement activity to avoid disallowing cost from donors
  • Maintaining all procurement files in organized, accurate, up to date manner for audit purpose. this was achieved by maintaining both soft copies and hard copies of all procurement file
  • In charge of generating and sending weekly procurement tracker on weekly basis to update Programs on their procurement request and for Budget holder to manage their spending to avoid overspent and underspent of their budget
  • Analyzing/evaluating vendor performance annually to improve their capability and capacity to deliver as per program needs
  • Assisting programme and operational personnel in regular procurement planning meetings to ensure the development of a good procurement plan
  • Managing supplier relationship up to delivery of goods /completion of services to avoid interruption of programs activities
  • Maintained consistent email communication with stores and suppliers to confirm and track orders and verify price revisions on purchase orders.
  • Prepared rosters of suppliers and service providers to elicit quotes and bid information for supplies, inputs, and services.
  • Collected and analyzed current market information to procure inputs and supplies from variety of sources.
