  • Stabilising the business after the acquisition and divestment from Investment One Pension Managers.
  • Grew the AUM by 93% and PBT by 112%
  • Grew the PIN registration by 25%
  • Drove the funding ratio of new accounts to 80%
  • Improved the investment returns on all the funds which propelled the PFA from the bottom 5 to the Top 6 in the PFA industry ranking by the end of Q1 2025.
  • Developed policies for all the functional units of the business in compliance with PENCOM regulations.
  • Was the first Pension Fund Administrator (PFA) to implement cloud computing facilities for the pension business.

  • Member of the Executive Leadership Committee (ELCO) of the bank representing the market’s division of the FBNQuest group (subsidiaries in the equities trading, Asset Management, Trustees and Alternative Investments Businesses). ELCO is the highest decision-making body of the FBNQuest group with the responsibility of formulating policies & strategies and providing direction to the various businesses.
  • Member of the Human Capital Committee (HCC) of the FBNQuest Group with responsibility of formulating strategy and decisively addressing issues that relate to staff welfare, staff development and attracting world class talent to the IBAM group.
  • Responsible for ensuring the bank meets its Primary Dealer Market Maker (PDMM) as well as the Money Market Dealer (MMD) roles in both the bonds and treasury bills trading respectively.
  • Managerial oversight of 28 people in diverse functions comprising of traders in foreign exchange, fixed income securities and balance sheet management and a sales team that cross sells across the FBNQuest group domiciled in 3 locations (Lagos, Abuja & Port Harcourt).
  • Responsibility for an average yearly revenue budget of circa N7.8bn ($20m) representing 48% of the Bank’s total revenue.

  • Trained the back office staff in operational procedures as it relates to Fixed Income trading.
  • Profitably executed trades of circa N118bn ($737.5m) within the first 8months of operations.
  • Initiated and developed trading lines with at least 10 major PDMMs within the first 6 months of operations.

  • I had managerial oversight of two treasury bills dealers as well as two bonds dealers responsible for developing daily trading strategy to drive income on both desks.
  • Key accomplishments include:
  • Revamped the bonds trading portfolio from a trading loss position of N200MM ($1.3MM) to a profit of approx. N600MM ($4.0MM) in the first 3 months on the desk.
  • Grew monthly trading volumes for bonds by 80% from an average of N50BN ($332MM) to N90BN ($600MM).
  • Adjudged No. 1 in the UBA Value Adder Hall of Fame for the period April 08 – August 09 as the staff with the highest contribution to the bank’s bottom line with Profit before tax of N5.9BN ($39.3MM) in the period under review.
