Dr. Adejoke Sheyin

Associate Professor Adejoke Olabisi Sheyin, a vivid example of excellence in attitude, inner personal traits and

achievements.

She was born in Ago Iwoye, Ijebu North Local Government of Ogun State on 12th February 1958, to the family of Amos and Felicia Taiwo.

She attended Lagos City Council Primary School, Igbobi Yaba, Lagos, in 1966; Ago Iwoye Secondary School, Ijebu, for her West African Examination Council Certificate in 1974; Ansar Ud Deen Teachers’ College, Ota in 1975, as a Grade 11 Certificated Teacher in 1977; her Nigeria Certificate in Education from Ogun State College of Education, in 1982; her first Degree in Educational Management from University of Ibadan in 1989; Master in Educational Management from Olabisi Onabanjo University, in 1992; and Doctorate Degree, (Ph. D), Educational Management at University of Ibadan, in 2000. Dr. Joke Sheyin started her teaching career in 1978 and has taught in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels of Education.

She was appointed a lecturer in Tai Solarin College of Education, (TASCE), Ijagun, in July 1993 and was the Deputy Director of Degree Programmes, in (TASCE) Ijagun in 2000. She was on sabbatical leave at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye in July, 2003 and a visiting lecturer till June 2005. Joke was a lecturer in the Nigeria Teachers Institute (NTI); a Part time Lecturer in Adekunle Ajasin University and also at TASCE Nigerian Army Part Time Education Corp; where she taught in Undergraduate, Masters and Ph. D Classes.

Adejoke, an Associate Professor of Educational Management, a Chief lecturer in 2011, and Director, Part Time and External Programmes (DICEPP) in (TASCE), Omu-Ijebu, in 2013. She transferred her services back to Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun in December 2014.

Adejoke is well travelled, contributing to knowledge, especially in the field of research. At the community level, Dr. Adejoke Sheyin, has contributed immensely to the development of Ago-Iwoye, her hometown and Itebu-Manuwa, her husband’s; She is the First Vice President, AgoIwoye Development Council, (ACDC; the Iya Ijo of St. Mark’s Church, Itebu-Manuwa; equally a Secretary to many social clubs. Adejoke is well traveled, contributing to knowledge, especially in the field of research. At the community level, Dr. Adejoke Sheyin, has contributed immensely to the development of Ago-Iwoye, her hometown and Itebu-Manuwa, her husband’s; She was the First Vice President, AgoIwoye Development Council, (ACDC), 2018; and the Iya Ijo of St. Mark’s Church, Itebu-Manuwa; her wealth of experience was brought to bear on several projects embarked upon by the two communities; She is equally a Secretary to many social clubs.

She has published widely and has proven her competence in research; not only as Chief Lecturer at Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu, but also as an Associate Professor at Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun. Her Administrative experiences include headship of the Department of Curriculum and Educational Management Studies (2008-2011), Chairman Committee of Best Teachers in Ogun State (2006-2008) and Chairman of editorial Boards of several academic Journals.

She was appointed by His Excellency, the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, (CFR), as a member of the Governing Council of Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu Ijebu, where she is serving as the Chairman Consultancy and Educational Services of the Council.
