Accomplishments

  • Project Management, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, Assumed technical and managerial oversight over the NHMIS system strengthening project of the GlobalFund HIV grants in Nigeria valued at over 15 million dollars. Contributed to the design and management of GF projects and was a technical reference point on M&E and programmatic issues in the National HIV response. Trained and motivated team members thereby improving overall implementation of proposed activities by over 70%. Engaged and managed stakeholders from line ministries, implementing partners, Donors and UN organizations in the course of my work.
  • Research and Evaluation, International Consultant for the Global Fund, Geneva, providing technical guidance to countries in Asia, West and South Africa on health program reviews, HIV service cascade analysis and ART outcome analysis. Conducted the pioneering research on Equity assessment, Epidemic Response and Policy Synthesis (ERPS), National HIV Epidemiology and Impact Analysis(NHEIA), Out of Pocket Expenditure and Assessing Quality of care for HIV/AIDS in Nigeria. Served as the desk officer for the 2018 National Key Population size estimation study.
  • Data Management, Providing technical guidance to the integration of National databases: migrating the HIV Module into the National Health Management information system. Provided the technical guidance during HIV program data validation exercises and national Data quality assurances. Provided technical oversight to the surveillance division to monitor the HIV epidemic, analyze validated HIV program data and develop information products. Facilitated the use of data and information by policy makers and program implementers for effective planning, allocation and utilization of resources.
