• Lead safety communications for shift, operations, or project updates to ensure consistent and timely information cascaded to the team.
• Seek and drive behavioral based safety programs considering the SEPCiNs system patterns among work force
• Prepare audits to detect existing or potential safety exposures, determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follow-up to ensure measures have been implemented.
• Update and present monthly/quarterly Safety and Environment Key Performance (KPIs-leading/lagging) and assurance tracking update to the Asset Manager.
• Drive various safety trainings (HUET/BOSIET/HLO/HTM/DFA, etc) critical for staff competence development and maintain records of such trainings.
• Facilitate accident/incident investigation and reporting, sharing learning and encouraging workforce in reporting Unsafe act Unsafe Conditions in line with SEPCiNs HSSE and SP Control Framework.
• Recommend and advise on the safety aspects for any technical failures and addressing the safety barriers in the future design or activities.
• Familiar with application of hierarchy of control to addressing critical safety exposures.
• Lead accountability for the sustained implementation of the HSSE-MS employing risk reduction methodologies.
• Review Risk assessments for critical changes, implementations and activities requiring professional safety inputs.
• Review of facility safety cases and making critical inputs where they exist and closely see to it being operationalize.
• Establish Safety best practices, standards and programs across the asset under my cover.
• Collaborate with other functions for smooth implementation of COMPANY's safety policies and rules.
• Coordinate various safety leadership sessions/programs.
• Provided effective SE support during HAZID, HAZOP, MOC (management of change) and MOPO review sessions.
• Drive and coordinate delivery of quality safety guidance expert advice.
• Participate in effective hazardous and non hazardous area classification into various zones of gas plants and oil flow stations.
• Ensure adherence to Corporate Minimum HSE standards, local and International HSE regulations, in the assets and operations.
• Participates in achieving sustainability goals for the company through site initiatives.
• Familiar with Permit to Work system (e-vision suite).
• With knowledge of safety and environment regulations and their applicability, develops S & E plans, procedures, guidelines and training programs as assigned.
• Collaborate with the other group SE team and experts in analyzing and assessing all types of risks and hazardous for all company assets and facilities to align understanding, plans and communications.
• Research and review the safety requirement for plant modifications and other asset or technical integrity studies or projects for the company assets, to ensure thorough review of the safety aspects and contingency plans.
• Drive Leadership commitment to operationalize the safety and environment yearly improvement Plan/ Safety case.

• Bronze award for proactive intervention on sighting unknown personnel using naked flame for hot work activity on a live pipeline. November 2019.
• Award for initiating the setup of an onsite Authorized Gas Testers (AGT) club. November 2019.
• Award for Intervention to prevent fire/explosion prior to welding activity (hot work) using a pressurized habitat in a live gas plant. May 2019.

• Coordinate onsite safety tool box talks and meetings where learning from previous incidents are shared and worksite hazards are mitigated.
• Oversee and participate in the emergency response plan exercises; i.e. drill exercises, etc., to ensure personnel/equipment readiness in the event of a real emergency and gaps addressed.
• Lead the creation and update of emergency response scenarios to ensure that all personnel with emergency duties are fully prepared through training and exercises.
• Supervise personnel to foster implementation of worksite hazard management systems.
• Drive hazard hunting exercise and tracking out to closure.
• Enforce safe working practices and ensure lost time injuries are reduced to a minimum
• Maintain an updated HSSE competency tracker for the personnel and review periodically.
